    Hi Bill,
I got them here http://www.f360performanceparts.com/front-spoiler-skid-plate.php, great price and fast shipping. I was very impressed with the complete package I received. It had everything you need, including a paper template on the placement. I was a little skeptical on the size compared to the ones I had on my 355, but the 360 ones are great. It was a real pleasure to deal with Brenden. I had to wait a complete driving season to really comment on them :)

Two questions; did you have to take the bumper off, and did you consider the spoiler one?

    Thanks, Bill

Your fortunate you hit them square on the mark. Premier Motorsport in Culver City, CA has the real deal with 75% more coverage.

Yes, I took the front bumper off to make it easier to put them on, but I think I could have done it by just removing the panels. It was over a year ago and do not remember. I had actually forgotten about them until I saw the car on the rack.

I do not know what the spoiler one is, so I guess I did not consider it :)

Guess I got lucky for over a year and 5k miles :)

Anyway, thats what I have for better or worse. They are small, like I said I had my doubts, but it looks like placement is everything.

I have not ties to the company I purchased from, just a happy customer.

    Very interesting.

Forgive my ignorance, but isn't there the risk that these skid pads could modify the car's aerodynamics (which could obviously be very dangerous at high speeds)? Are they certified by Ferrari?

    Thanks,
    Carlo

Carlo, no risk at all. They are extremely light and are max 10mm thick and only cover a small portion of the underside of the front bumper. Many of us have been using them over the years.

The plastic boomerang shaped skid plates. I have them on my F430. They are great.

    Oh ok.

Will certainly consider them when the time comes (considering the overabundance of speed bumps in some parts of Europe...Milan in particular).

    Thanks again,
    Carlo

You are a very lucky man Dan, if for 2 years you have managed to avoid scraping your bumper (I knock on wood).

I had the large boomerang skids pads (like Tarek's) put on my 430 before I drove the car home for the first time. I've twice hit the road... not while pulling out of a driveway, but while driving on the mountain roads in the bay area at speed. Amazing, when you think about it.

The pads took all the abuse and the car remains unscathed.

    Well worth the cost.

Financialman stop driving around naked before you get arrested and get your butt down here to race again!

Tarek, it seems that the 430's bumper is flat everywhere along the bottom. The 360 is curved in such a matter that it has a low point. I think that is why the skid plates can be so small.

I guess at very extreme angles and slopes the outside of the 360 bumper may scrape, where for you it would not matter since you are covered everywhere.

Just to put everyone in the picture.
The bumper at the mounting points is about 15mm or 5/8" thick.
We supply the pads with self threading threaded inserts, like a helicoil.
You just drill the holes, thread in the inserts and screw on the pads, no need to remove anything.
All the tools are supplied with the kit, including illustrated DIY instructions.
These instructions are also on the website.
There is a front spoiler available as well in combination with the skid pads.
Oh, and for those of you who are saying "size does matter", in this case you're wrong. :D :D

Correct. In fact, the Hill Engineering 360 skid plates are about the smallest of all the plates they make for various Ferraris.

    IMO, skid plates are useless.

That 'may' work on 360's however, with the front end design of the 430, you'll need more coverage.
