Mr. Clean works better than I thought!

I had purchased one of those Mr. Clean Auto Dry car washing systems a while back when they first came out, but I never got around to trying it out. But with the nice weather today, and the Canon Beach event starting tomorrow, I decided to pull the 512TR and the F40 into the driveway and give Mr. Clean a shot at the two dirtiest cars in my garage.

I have to admit, I thought the whole thing might be kind of a gimmick, but after reading on a different post a couple weeks ago that Willis used it with good results, I got a little more optimistic. Turns out this stuff works great! I was really impressed and will be buying some refill stuff on my next visit to Shucks. I still needed to use a chamois on some of the areas of my cars where water pools, but all in all I am very satisfied with the results. It works so well, I may just shave my head and get a gold hoop earring!

Is this the green and blue device that attaches to the hose, like the one Willis brought to Cannon Bch and showed everyone how to use it? They were complaining about the flow rate of the filtered "ionized" water, but it seemed fine to me if you have a bit of patience.

I'm guessing these are priced in the $50 range, right?

My kit was $25 at Target. It works so well that I am checking out deionized water systems just for washing my cars (the special soap may be a factor as well). If anyone has leads on a system they like, please post info.

I too liked the results. I used it on three cars last Saturday. My Mustang is new so it has no wax and my Ferrari has new paint so it has no wax yet. I used it on my Tahoe which looked a little scratched before and after it looks great which makes me wonder if it took the wax off.

Does anyone know if this might strip wax?
