Halloween in Madison

Does anyone know what the deal with halloween in Madison this year? I heard they are making people pay $5 to get in?

oh boy... its funny how a little town turns into all sorts of hell on earth for a weekend. also its crazy how fun that hell can be. you gotta watch out for the horses though, they are NOT there to get some pets, and the officers on their backs dont like you trying to feed them. not that I'd know.

Thanks for the info. I'm betting a ton of tickets will be sold the day of or before the event. I generally wouldn't have known about the tickets, plus most college students wait til the last minute anyway..

I got pepper sprayed last year...but I don't think I want to get sprayed again this year.

im a madison student...all I hear from my friends is that it's overrated-it's fun for people who don't go to school here, but a nuisance because everything (the bars, streets, restaurants, etc.) is packed with people who come up for the weekend and have no regard for anything.

not fun huh? I had to get maced for my law enforcement training, and I can tell you that the pain doesnt go away for a day or two, but then again I did get blasted by two people with open eyes from 5 feet away. not fun at all. Out of the three (mace,tazer,tear gas) the mace was the worst. Oh and its not the crap you can buy in stores...its the real deal...nasty.
