he is the greatest bike rider of all time, a hiccup here or there won't change that

he could probably even get a Triumph over the line

If he finished in front of or directly behind Nicky Hayden, he would have become THE ONLY rider ever to win a 990cc World Title.

I guess even the greatest make mistakes, it proves he is human after 5 consecutive World Titles.

Great sportsmanship on the warmdown lap by Rossi, idling up beside Hayden and offering his hand in congratulations......

He made no excuses in his post race interviews, and was gracious in defeat.

What about the winner of the race? Bayliss did good. A great race. Both the MotoGP and World SBK champions on the dias. It seems he can ride MotoGP bikes after all.

He rode brilliantly. Just a shame that the 03/04 Desmosedici was such a pig...... but then again that just highlights how good Capirossi was at the same stage.

Loris will be my favourite for the title next year.

Its not *beleive* and no, it was not the most important race, i don't think he really cares, he pocketed the $25 million all the same of which the Italian tax-dept. scammed it back off him...ouch!

I still feel he took the fall and tipped it over on purpose.Call it a conspiracy theory!

Rossi was beaten fair and square last year by Stoner/Ducati combo, Yamaha where asleep!

Table has turned now, Ducati have not done enough work and Yamaha have, together with Bridgestone tyres, it looks game-over in 08'.The King is back!

Anyway, last nights race was Rossi's 7th win in a row in Italy, and 3rd in a row.

Loved the helmet!!!

He is the greatest rider EVER and will beat the great AGO's win record very soon.

It just backs up the MotoGP totally s/hits all over follow-the-leader in F1, God bless paint swapping, leaning on each other racing!

Ciao

M

Amazing that Rossi won so easily after a crap start from pole. Rossi is amazing. Helmet was really something. 250cc race was also fantastic

Thats ok, I noticed the title of this thread so didn't open it and then proceeded to watch the race last night expecting Rossi to fall off.

Wasn't until the chequered flag came out and he won that I opened the thread only to find it was a couple of years old.

Talk about Doh!!!!!!!!
