Rest in peace JRV.

Most of you guys don't remember him but he was on the old site. He was also the founder of F-talk.

Rest in peace JRV.

Just heard he passed passed away. Received much advice from him in the past. So helpful, a first class enthusiast.

I posted some pics in the Lambo Section, Mr Ernie, on the Miura thread....

The Devil to some, a godsend to others......in the end, merely mortal, as we all are....

He was a friend of mine....his voice still rings in my ears, as he smoked another cigarette......

"Ya' jus' don't 'get it' do you, Alan?"

Oh, the stories I can tell.......as I told Rob Lay this morning..

In Heaven the timing belts last forever, and the spark plugs never foul....

I think his memory will live forever...he took that pic of the babe under the hood of the 328....

I KNOW that's gone all the way around the world on the internet, and come back again!

Thanks chaa,

His parents had 'gone ahead" and he had no children of his own.

All the friends around the world who shared his enthusiam for Italian machines were his 'family'.........

Tex,

Is this the man that helped you with your car? I thought I remember a post telling me so.....

Sorry for your loss and my condolences to his family and friends.

At least now he can rest in peace, I'll never forget how stressed out he would get at the shop over the littlest things. One thing I'm guilty of it taking him to Hooters down the street from the shop. I had no idea that he'd never been there until 2003. After that we were eating there almost every day, taking very long lunch breaks, & getting very little work done. Hooters did make him a happy camper.
