Need help from the UK

Recently a friend has expressed her affection for a fruity strawberry-flavored wheat beer called Fruli that she experienced when she visited London 2 years back. With her birthday coming up in a few weeks, I think it would be grand to have some for her celebration since she hasn't had any in 2 years. Finding it in the USA, however, has so far proven fruitless (pardon the pun). Of course the government-run Liquor Control Board here has shown their incompetence and offered ZERO cooperation. The only places that sell it online are in the UK, but they don't ship to the US. I also have been inclined to believe that conventional parcel services such as FedEx, UPS, or DHL will not ship liquor from consumer to consumer, but only between licensed entities.

I know this is a shot in the dark, but I am reaching across the pond to see if anyone here could offer any advice -- or, God willing, their assistance -- in my quest. If you have experience with international shipping of beer or wine that can help me achieve my goal, I will be grateful beyond words. Mille grazie.

i know the feeling - had gallons of the stuff in a pub called 'The Star' in Ealing, West London - all on tap

has a great taste, as thick and creamy as our beer 'Boddingtons', and ensures you wake up the following morning less than sharp!

Best to get a barrell rather than bottles - but i guess that'll be very difficult unless you have a local restaurant/pub who stock the stuff. I've tried to get Fruli locally (i live about 100miles west of London), but none of the local bars seem to stock it - Rob's given you the link - good luck

Lol sounds about right Jules

"This a great beer for the queer guy in all of us, you get to tell your friends your a man cause your drinking beer but the girlie man in you gets to enjoy his strawberry juice. The beer pours a very cloudy brownish pink, the head its self is also a light pink. The smell reminded me of home made strawberry jam not that cheap ass generic Safeway crap. On the first sip I thought I was drinking pure strawberry puree it was thick and fizzy. The taste was very strawberry with some good maltiness in the background turning more tart the longer on my tung, my girlfriend even enjoyed this beer and said she could see her self drinking a whole one. Very good fruit beer will be trying again. "

I've called a few of those stockists listed on that website to no avail, but will continue to try the remaining stores.

Regarding the beverage itself, I've never had it. I have no trouble finding plenty of beer that I enjoy locally. But since it's my friend's birthday, I figured it might be neat to try and get my hands on some.

Apparently a courier service may be able to transport a small amount of beer internationally, however this option would be rather expensive. The only other option might be for a UK distributor to ship to the local licensed beer distributor.

Somehow, I will find a way to get this stuff.

I appreciate your assistance Rob, but I have too much respect for Mr. Glickenhaus to ask him such a favor. I've only had a chance to communicate with him via the internet, and by all accounts he seems like a very pleasant man, but I can only imagine how many other things in his life must take precedent over transporting booze for some internet stranger.

Nonetheless, thanks for the tip.
