driving a Ferrari 355 Spider

Hi everybody
This weekend a dream came true for me
About 2 years ago I bought on ebay "driving 1 hour a Ferrari Enzo". Unfortunatly this never happend and I had a lot of trubble with it. Instead of the Enzo I got a guided tour with a 355 Spider for 2 hours inkl. Hotel in Baden Baden this weekend (a coach drove a second 355 spider an my grilfriend and I followed in the other one).
We arrived on saturday at 3pm at the Hotel (Hotel Plättig Bühlerhöhe) and spend the day in Baden Baden. On sunday at 11.30 am the tour started We drove for about 40 min the Schwarzwalhochstraße and it was lots of fun. Especially if we had to overtake other cars It was just great. The sound, the speed and it was the first time a drove a spider
Then we went on the Autobahn (the A5 towards Karlsruhe) but there was too much traffic for fullspeed and so my max speed was 240+ kmh. But I have to say it was very easy to drive this speed and I (and my girlfriend) felt very save. And also the brakes of the 355 are very good.
But than the sad thing happend. We just left the Autobahn and drove towards Baden Baden as I shifted down and the clutch pedal didn't come out again
The clutch was broken and the tour finished just 5 km bevor the long Baden Baden tunnel
But even with the broken cluch it was a great weekend

Martin

Cool

Nice Pics,

to sad the 355 didn't fall apart just after the stint as supposed to happen.
(In Enzo Ferrari's imagination this used to be the perfect race car.)
Guess the hydraulic clutch cylinder leaked?
Certainly to have good cards to continue your trip when it is fixed.

cheers,

cinque

Thanks
I have no idea why the clutch broke. It felt OK all the time and then suddenly it broke

The cars are in quite bad conditions. The yellow one is taped on the front and has damage on the right rear. Also the top is damaged and it has close to 200.000km on the clock.
The black one has just 80.000km on the clock and is in much better conditions than the yellow one but that doesn't mean a lot.
Nevertehless it was a lo of fun and I'm looking forward to drive again (hopefully this year)

Cool, 200.000 km on the 355_clock. Hopefully you go on refund trip soon.
