I always wished that BMW had actually made a 7 series/6 speed, though admittedly it is probably a very small market.

Actually, the 6-sp from the 850i fits only the M73 V-12 750s.

However! The 6-sp from the E39 M5 was used in the 740 above, so it's all got done

And since BMW made a 728 5-speed stick in Europe, all the clutch pedals, mounts, etc. are available for all E38s

One thing is for sure, that's one damn amazing BMW. "We're catching the Alpina with 3 guys and a 200lb toolbox in the car!" Yeah!!!
