Registration begins- Greatest show between the coasts for exotic Italian and classics
Registration begins for Greatest all-Italian show between the coasts. It is well worth the drive from Chicago- Go to italiancarfest.com for details & pictures of venues.
Schedule of Events- ItalianCarFest Weekend FRIDAY- ICF Reception hosted by Texas Driver Magazine at Mission Plaza inside the atrium of the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center on Lake Grapevine. SATURDAY- The main event of the weekend, the ItalianCarFest car & two-wheeler show at Cross Timbers Winery featuring the absolute best of Italian machinery displayed on manicured lawn. In addition, the property includes a nineteen century barn. The interior has been lovingly finished out. All of the barn's air-conditioned second floor will be utilized as a private lounge. Complimentary wine, soft drinks and snacks will be served to show entrants. After the show, it's 'ICF Saturday Evening at Gaylord' at the Yellow Rose Ballroom- Mixer (Cash Bar), Silent Charity Auction, Dinner, and Live Band. SUNDAY Scenic Drive & Speedway Brunch- Enjoy a country drive followed by brunch with fellow enthusiasts in an Exclusive 6th Floor Suite in Lone Star Tower overlooking the action at Texas Motor Speedway. TMS is one of the largest outdoor facilities in the world with grandstand seating for 154,000. With the breathtaking view of the facility from the condo and the impressive setting, this promises to be one of the weekend's most exciting events. Boardwalk Ferrari/Maserati-Porsche Track Day. This will be an exceptional Sunday at Texas Motor Speedway with access to a private clubhouse for drivers and their guests, a special covered area adjacent to the track and other extras provided by Texas Driving Experience, a company specializing in organizing premiere track events. Cars will drive on the inner track, called the Le Mans Road Course. MONDAY- Texas Ducati Track Day with AMS at MotorSport Ranch. Motorcycles only. A New Way to Enjoy the Weekend: In addition to regular entry, ICF offers the 'Reserved Weekend Package'. For one fee an entrant gets: 1) Entry for one car with space reserved under a tent on the show field to keep you and you car in the shade 2) Under the tent, 4 bottles of Pellegrino on ice waiting for you 3) 2 ItalianCarFest cotton Ts 4) 2 tickets to Friday's ICF Reception 5) 2 tickets for dinner at the 'ICF Saturday Evening at Gaylord' 6) Brunch for 2 on Sunday at Texas Motor Speedway This is a weekend you can bring your not-interested-in-cars spouse to. Here's why: • This year, ItalianCarFest and GrapeFest, the region's largest wine festival, are held on the same 3 day weekend. This is a great getaway anytime through Sunday evening. • And during Saturday's show, the air-conditioned lounge is open to each entrant and their guest. (Sept. is usually pleasant, but sometimes mid-Sept. afternoons get warm). So a spouse can enjoy the comfort of the lounge. And since the drinks and snacks are complimentary, it won't be an expensive diversion. • In addition, the Gaylord Texan Resort is our host hotel. It is a fabulous $500 million complex that offers every comfort imaginable. Contact Gaylord and ask for the ItalianCarFest discount rate. • Friday's reception and the dinner Saturday at Gaylord will be spectacular and will please Italian car enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts alike. Organizers pledge to again be time sensitive by delivering only a 15-20 minute program where there will be neither boring speeches nor endless drawings for door prizes. • And there is Sunday's Speedway Brunch. The view from the 6th floor TMS condo truly breathtaking. And, again, whether you are into cars or not, it will be a fantastic experience. If you factor in the reasonable price of the Speedway Brunch that you'll enjoy with the view, it will be proven an unbeatable, elegant event. So no matter where you drive or fly in from, please don't feel it necessary to leave your spouse at home. And plan to stay into Sunday. The 2005 show will be free to the public. In 2004 we had 8,500 visitors. For 2005, we are making plans for 12,000. We expect entrants from 15 states. Go to www.italiancarfest.com or e-mail italiancarfest@yahoo.com. For more information please contact Bob Dezzany at (214) 668-2382 or (214) 827-2086 or dezzany@sbcglobal.net Thanks again, Jerry Lee Phillips President - Italian Car Club of the Southwest 345 W.
