HERSHEY - Antique Automobile Market

Hello fellow Fchatters,

I post it here in the vintage section because here are the most Fchatters who know most about this market.
I have heard several times about this market in Hershey and have thought a few times to visit it once. Yesterday I saw an announcement again for this years market at 2 october. That's to short time so maybe it is time to allready make some plans for next year.

I am looking for advice in data, tips, hints about flight, rental camper or car, motel or camping, websites and all other info you know and could be interesting for me. Maybe there are Fchatters living in the neighberhood who have some good ideas??

I have been at the Beaulieu market (UK) in 2004 and liked it very much. Heard the Hershey edition is 10 times bigger/better!!

Thanks a lot in advance!!
Roel.

Here's some more info.

http://www.aaca.org/meets/brochures/2005hershey.pdf

and the national website

http://www.aaca.org/

along with the regional site for the aaca

http://local.aaca.org/hershey/fallmeet.htm

and finally, the local and regional website for attractions

http://www.visithhc.com/choccity.shtml

I have never been to this show, so I don't know if it is good, bad or ugly.

A far as sheer size is concerned, Fall Hershey makes the Monterey weekend look like a small local automotive gathering. The show on Sauturday Oct 8th will have over 200,000 people attendig. It's based primarily around Domestic cars over 25 years old, with a small section of imported cars (100 to 150).

The biggest problem with attending is getting a room.
