Visiting Malaysia and Singapore
I am visiting Singapore and Malaysia from Nov. 25-Dec.2 for work. I am coming from Los Angeles, California. I will bringing my family and I would like to know for the eight days I will be in both cities, what is there to do for my family. I do have relatives in Singapore, but not in Malaysia. I will be in Penang, Malaysia for about 3 days, any suggestions for what activities my family can do while we are there. Would like your feedback.

Food....

Not sure about the Durian season, but if you're into Durian, Balik Pulau has got some all-you-can-eat orchards and you can gorge yerselfs silly... Nasi Kandar is Penang's signature dish. Ask the hotel's where is the best. I usually go to Kassim's. Otherwise, go to Penang Street and a plethora of restaurants awaits!!! Oyster Omelette is another Penang dish, along with Prawn Mee(noodles) and of course the Char Kuay Tiow. All can be found at the Gurney Drive hawker centre which opens at 1800 onwards. Parking's a pain though...... Other than food, not much to do except sightseeing at the Snake temple, Botanical Park and Penang Hill. I hope you have an enjoyable time in Penang, Malaysia. Cheers, Iskandar. |

Agreed...Line Clear Nasi Kandar at Penang Street. Opens at night and till the wee hours of the morning. Better than Kassim's...
In KL, go to Naza World showroom in Petaling Jaya. Naza is Malaysia's No.1 exotic car importer. Dunno what's there now..but almost any other exotic from ANY manufacturer will be brought in via Naza..(Enzo and Co...) Your family can always go to KLCC and it's adjacent park. |

You have to get to KL. There is so much to do there. KL tower, Petronas towers, the cave, the casino, the malls, the restaurants, central market, open market, Sunway Lagoon hotel and mall...

DOn't forget China Town too..if you go there, don't simply ask for the goods price...the seller(with brown, yellow sometimes red hair) will 'force' you to buy even you dun wunna it.So,be alert!
