Enzo's Birthday in Nashville - the latest plans

OK - here's the latest on the Nashville Rendezvous. It looks like most people would like to get together in the afternoon or evening...

Here is my idea. We all meet around 1-2pm Saturday, Feb. 18, in Brentwood (south Nashville) in the Kroger parking lot. After everybody gets a chance to chat and check out the cars, we embark on a nice drive in the Brentwood and Franklin area. I know some fun out-of-the-way country roads that will take us past some gorgeous properties including Alan Jacksons (very impressive) mansion.

There is a very cool car museum (www.LaneMotorMuseum.com) in Nashville that I've been wanting to visit, and I think this would be the perfect place end the drive. After viewing all the unique cars, we'll break up and then re-rendezvous that evening for dinner at the Sunset Grill. This will give all out-of-towners a chance to go back to the hotel and freshen up. JC has connections at the restaurant (http://sunsetgrill.com/) and can get a section of the parking lot reserved for our cars. Once there, we will eat, drink, be merry and remember "Il Comendatore".

I think we'll be having folks from Memphis and Knoxville coming, and I'd love to get some out of staters as well.

Please give me feedback/suggestions and let me know if you are planning on coming.

I'd really like to come out to this meet, but is it possible to meet up with someone before hand and perhaps ride with them? I just think I look a little out of place having a v6 Mustang with a pack of Ferraris.

EDIT: Plus I've never ridden in a Ferrari, so this would be a perfect opportunity.

You do not have to have a Ferrari to participate in the ride or dinner. Sorry if I didn't make that clear, but this event is for every Ferrari fan regardless of what they drive!

Come out to the event and I guarantee you'll get a ride in a Ferrari; probably several. :-)

Yes, it should :-)

I just talked to the guys at the Lane Motor Museum. They're looking forward to our visit and are also very excited about the prospect of seeing a bunch of Ferrari's in their parking lot!

I thought you were playing in the band with him, nobody said anything about money. Is Faith Hill still riding with you ?

I will know more as the event gets nearer but I think 10 cars is a conservative number...

If you are coming, chime in and let everyone know!

Firming up the days activities:

We will me up at 1PM at the Kroger parking lot. The drive will be 1-2 hours. The Lane Motor Museum is open 'til 5PM so that will give us plenty of time to see all the exhibits...

Festivities at the Sunset Grill will begin 6PM ish. There will be a private area set up for cocktails, and dinner will be available all night in the main dining room for whenever the hunger pangs hit.

And I'm sure this will get some of you to the event ===> JC has graciously offered to foot the bill for the cocktails. Thank you, JC !

Sounds like it will be a fun time. I have a big poker tourney that day at 4pm, but
I will probably get to come see everyone at Kroger.

I'll deffinetly be there. Go to school here at UT and I've been craving Ferrari action for a long time, but outside of the Pink Palace Italian Car Show (in Memphis) I never see/hear of anything going on!

Cant wait, see you guys there!

Last years show was a bit of a dissapointment in comparison to the one 2 years ago.

Last year they had a F430, a 550 and a 355. Then a few replicas and a Lotus and I think 1-2 maseratis. I was seriously dissapointed, and the crowd was about half the size of the one 2 years ago.

TWO years ago though, we had an Enzo, F50, around 3 550's, a 575, a handful of modenas and 355's. A Diablo (possibly 2, cant remember), Murcielago, Gallardo and a handful of lotus and maserati cars. THAT show was amazing, and drew a huge crowd.

Maybe after last years turnout they figure its not worth it again?
