Cats Exotics - Another car goes to a happy customer!

After all the bad buying experiences that have been made public in the recent few weeks, I wanted to be sure and write about an amazing one.

I didn’t expect to get out of the Gallardo so quickly but it did seem like I got off to the wrong foot with her and there has been a fair share of problems since taking delivery. Again, nothing too major but things that make you go hmmmm… maybe we were just not meant to be together? Also, value is dropping rather quickly since the arrival of the ’06 and as part of the new deal I got payoff covered entirely. Another few months and I’d be upside down considering being so early in the lease.

So I started looking for a Murcielago…

Around the same time Michael from Domani Motors was getting back in touch regarding the negative feedback I left. Finally, he wanted to make my few issues with the car right. He said he would do whatever it took… that’s all I ever wanted to hear. I told him of my search and he said he’d start looking around and get right back to me. Taking the Gallardo in for trade and paying the balance on the car in full… the numbers were very generous.

That evening I start doing my own search as well… I go to Roy’s website www.catsexotics.com and immediately see a 2003 red Murci and fall in love. My only requirements are low miles and 6-speed (I’ll never own an e-gear. Not in Boston traffic). The color combination is gorgeous inside and out. I had never spoken to Roy before but he is famous around here, has a bulletproof reputation and drives the sh!t out of his cars… perfect match.

I get in touch and we agree on a price that evening. We leave it that I’ll get in touch the next day and work on closing the deal… and here’s where it gets interesting! Turns out the car is on Domani’s lot in Florida. So if I was ever worried about doing another deal with Domani that all goes out the window. If Roy does business with them, I’ll do business with them. We all laugh at the irony of the situation and close the deal.

Delivery is next week. And Red is the new…um, Red!

you must post details of your feelings on the G versus the Murci. after the short novel you wrote about the trip in the snow, i would enjoy reading your perspective on both cars. hats off to you and Roy.

Damn dude, first the SL65 now the Murci, nice week. When you mentioned the red Murci from Roy's site I thought it was Allans but I see from the pics it was the other one. Enjoy!
