Question Enthusiast needs help buying a 360 coupe, and finding 360 pricing info!

Hello all,

I need some help! I am a huge Ferrari fan who has been waiting for ages to get a 360. I have owned many sports cars, but never a Ferrari. Now I've got the bug badly, and it's time to act!

I am seeking a 360 coupe, F1 or 6 spd, red/tan, challenge grill, Tubi (or other aftermarket exh, but no extensive mods) and < 3 owners. I plan to drive it like it's meant to be driven, including putting it on the track. I am looking to spend ~130k. Newer is better than older. I'd be willing to compromise a bit, but not much. I'd rather pay more and compromise less. Also it HAS to be from private party (no dealers)!

Here's the problem: I don't know where I can find one!!! This site dosen't have a for sale forum, and the other for sale websites all have out of date postings.

I am in Atlanta. I went to FofA, and they want 129k (+ PPI + tax) for a 99 w/ 6k miles, 2 owners, needs service next year. I am thinking this too much for a 99.

Please help me find privately owned Ferraris from good owners who would sell to an enthusiast like me!

The more info the better, thanks!

Sounds like you should be able to buy an 01 for that price if it is a 6 Speed Manual. I am thinking the same as you but a bit newer, perhaps an 03.

Ebay has a 2000 coupe for 99K -buy it now. It has mileage but as long as it was properly maintained it should be ok.
Check post on this board for ebay site.

Any other sites, or info? Ferrariads has only *3* 360s that fall within my criteria. I hope I don't have to resort to eBay (I would never do this).....

Where can I find solid info on recent sale prices?

I would have helped you but you're too late. I'll help you with my opinions and past experiences from over 3 years of 360 ownership.

Ferrari Market Letter

Feb 11 issue has 36 360 coupes listed for sale.

You can purchase hard copy subscription or internet subscription.

For latter, you can be reading about these 36 coupes in about 10 minutes. Internet cost is $75.

I checked out ferrarimarketletter, and almost every single one of these is a dealer car. I am looking for NON-dealer cars. As an enthusiast site, I'd think I could find enthusiasts buying and selling. Is that too hard? I don't consider that site much better than browsing ebay auctions.

Can anyone help put me in touch with owners who are selling? Any info on finding non-dealer cars and recent pricing would be greatly appreciated.

I also looked at AutoWeek, and all of the 360s listed were dealer cars.

I'm not a dealer, this is my personal car and I'm selling due to the F430.

Roy mostly deals with Lamborghini's, but I'm sure he can get you a 360. Roy is a dealer, but not a brick and morter operation. Everyone that has bought a Lambo from him, has got a better price than any B&M dealer could give. Give him a call, it could'nt hurt.

Why not? No disrespect intended, but who really cares how, or where you found your car?
Seriously, I'm NOT suggesting you buy without a PPI, but you wouldn't do that anyway, whould you? Most car sales on eBay are consumated once the auction is long over.
On a used Ferrari, Due Dilligence is the key.
To me, eBay is just a big classified ad, nothing more, nothing less.

Check out the thread in the general discussion section. Sounds like a nice 2000 360 F1 is coming up for around $130k.
