Enzo Crash in Utah?

I just saw a video on the local news of what looked like a totaled Enzo, anyone heard anything?

S/N 131320, Richard Losee...

Miraculously, Mr. Losee is still alive after that accident, which happened around 10a.m. this morning. A few injuries, but surgery won't be necessary. Officials say had he been in another car in an accident like that, he wouldn't be alive.

Before anyone starts, it should be noted that this accident happened during a controlled rally. One portion of the rally consisted of "high speeds", where police officers would clock you. They would then write you a ticket and your fine would go to charity. The road on which this portion of the rally was conducted was closed and supervised by the proper authorities.

Losee participates in many rallies and this is just one of many ways he gives back to the community. My sincerest regards to him for a speedy recovery.

Glad to hear that he is OK and using the car for what it was intended.

Didn't he have over 15K miles on that thing already ?

Its sad to hear one of the most driven Enzos is now gone. The owner is always sharing his passion so I'm glad to hear he is ok.

When I saw Mr. Losee in May, in San Francisco, I believe he said he was closing in 30,000 miles. He sent me a picture of the odometer many months ago and the mileage was over 20K.

He wrote an interesting article in the September issue of Road & Track about the high speeds he has attained in his Enzo. Good article if you anybody wants to take a look at it.

So if he can handle high speeds how did this crash happen? I'm guessing there was some sort of bump in the road which caused him to lose control. Does anyone have more info on how the wreck happened?

Just reinforces that even in "controlled" conditions this is a dangerous passion.

Glad his injuries are not life threatening. Best wishes to Richard Losee for a speedy recovery.

Still no details on this... I think the general assumption is that he lost control, but any variables that contributed to this tragedy have not yet been spoken of.
