The sound system on my MY94 456 is bad so I want to upgrade it. I have bought a new Ferrari (Becker) CD player with navigation and would like to have some recommendations what speakers I should buy.
I would not want to add any holes so new ones should fit into the space of the original ones.

    Would anybody have any experience?

or knowledge of how large would fit?
At the moment I have my car garaged a bit further away and would like to install the speakers when I pick up the car next time.

    All comments appreciated.

I saw a 456 GT last week with failed display on the factory SONY? head unit.
Owner said unit was special size (DIN width/height) but shallow depth cause of gearbox

So you may find whilst another head unit fits in the DIN slot, it won't go far enough down.

Let me know how you get on.

I am quite interested as well in upgrading the Hi-Fi system, especially if it can include Navigation ..

I am quite curious : where is you screen for navigation ??
If the system is similar to what they use now in the 612, is there enough space between the Hi-FI and gear lever for the screen to deploy ??

    Can you send pics ??

    thanks

Similar setup here in sig in the 575.
Not sure how it compares to the 456 head unit location/mounting depth.

Thanks for the replies and sorry for the late response.

I was only now able to take a closer look at the system and yes, the original unit is about 5 cm deep. ...bugger, acted too quickly when buying the new one.
I have to sell that one then. and find atleast new speakers.

If somebody is interested I have for sale a unused Becker Highspeed TrafficPro 6108/6109 with the GPS antenna, cables and so on.
And yes, the Ferrari user manuals are there too.

    Oh yes, forgot to mention.
I was at the Ferrari Racing Days at Nürburgring last weekend and took a look at the radios of the 456s.
All had non Ms had the original one.

So what will fit the 456GT? With only 5cm of depth I can't find an aftermarket head unit. I want to get rid of the entire CD changer, and go with an I-Pod connection.
