A freind of mine just got his this spring 2006 its the medium one...i think the hle something or other with 7 seating. The fit and finish and room is perfect. So far, he loves it except for the gas. He said its more than he expected on fuel costs.

My uncle and a really close friend both bought a Rover in the last 6 months.
One was lemon lawed already and got it replaced, the other is in the process of initiating the lemon law.

Both cars had a ton of problems.

at 80k+ this shouldn't be happening. Pretty disappointing

scott, when i was at autoforum, a women(HOT) pulled into our parking lot, with a 2006 land rover HSE, with 70km's on it(not 700,70 friggin km's) saying she was driving down our street and felt a "bump" and a very LOUD noise, TBAKOWSKY and myself got down on our hands and knees, only to discover THE REAR AXLE HAD FALLEN OFF THE TRUCK!!!, we contacted land rover assistance and arranged for a tow back to the dealership, after her waiting about three hours for them to show up, we finally gave her one of our cars, and arranged towing ourself.

REMEMBER: this vehicle was BRAND NEW it still had the plastic on the seats and the florr mats still in the wrapping.

too bad though I know the owner very very well too, I can get you a great deal.

Sad that Land Rover still hasn't gotten it right.

I remember when Car & Driver tested a Discovery in the late 90's and literally had pieces FALL OFF!! I had really hoped they had overcome some of this.

    That that this helps but...

Most English cars are crap. However, I love Land Rovers to death. I just sold 2 Discovery's yesterday. The new Range Rover Sport is the sexiest SUV on the road!

mine is an 03 with 50K and I have had it in 5 time in the last 3 months for silly little things. I love the truck, the style but I'm worried about reliability.

I have a 2006 Range Rover sport with 22,000 km's and I have no complaints about the build quality. I've only had minor problems like my right xenon burning out around 3000 km's, airbag light showed up around 5000 km's which had something to do with my seatbelt sensor. My truck hasn’t seen any long road trips; it’s basically used for city driving and let me tell you the Range Rover Is nice to place to be when you’re stuck in traffic and it’s always nice to have all that HP under the hood.

As far as my service experience, I purchased my Range Rover from MCL Motors in Vancouver and the service is beyond excellent and honestly you can’t compare to some of the Mercedes and BMW service dept's in town.
