It is NOT a Ferrari team transporter, but was built by Bartoletti on a Fiat chassis as a 2 axle for the 1960 Scarab F1 effort. It was left in England with Lotus who is said to have used it a couple of times.Back in Italy it was to be used by the CAMORADI team , but they ran out of money. It appears to have remained unused in Italy apart from having a 3rd axle built on and then used by Shelby in Europe for 1964 and by A.Mann for Cobras and Fords in 1965.After that year it went to GTC for several seasons , on to JCB who took it to the US with some historic machinery a couple of years back and then sold to M.Shoen. Perhaps he has sold it , or it is finally on the way to a real make-up!

I think the Ferrari Classiche dept. just bought it from Tom to transport the restoration projects back and forth across Europe. New red tarps will need to be purchased, but she should be ready to go, otherwise...

If you want beautiful shots get the "Grand Prix" DVD.

There are plenty there and those are from the early 60's!

Also great footage of the Ferrari F1 factory section.

Well anyone can call their car a replica but the Cobra transporter and the Scarab transporter is not quite the same and none of them were official Ferrari transporters.

If any of you are model builders or want to study drawings , Mike Sells has an excellent collection of impressive plans wich includes 4 Ferrari ones !
