Hello Lambo fans, Last week, I visited Italy for four days of car spotting at the Ferrari and Lamborghini factories. Together with my dad, who I had invited to come along, I stood outside the gates of both factories for many hours to see the newly built cars drive in and out for their road tests. The first results of the Ferrari factory in Maranello can be found here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=138715 (About 100 pics so far, more to follow!) Now I will open a corresponding thread here, showing all the Lamborghinis. I hope you'll enjoy seeing the pics as much as I enjoyed taking them! Ciao, Lars T.

ASAP might indeed be a good idea, as the factory shop is currently selling lots of clothing and calendars really cheap to make room for the new collection: Caps 9 Euro T-shirts 12 Euro Poloshirts 19 Euro Large 2007 glossy wall calendar 10 Euro Leather gloves 35-45 Euro Pocket agenda (2007) 5 Euro All in all, this means discounts of over 60-70% for some really very nice items. Needless to say, I left the factory shop with some big & full shopping bags! Ciao, Lars T.
Awesome pics Lars, I'm also planning on visiting both factories on our next Italian/European tour. Thanks so much
when you say "visiting the factories" do you guys make appointments with the actual place ahead of time, is it open to the public ? or is it kind of like " hey theres the factory im going to park my car here and walk as close as i can to snap some pics " ?
great pics, thanks for sharing. Anyone knows, if the top for the lp640 would be coming in auto? or is it manual like the previous roadster?
Amazing set of pics...too bad you didnt spot any in Verde Ithaca! would of loved to of seen that color in those cloudy conditions, you know to see how much it still pops anyways!
Well, testing at both Lamborghini and Ferrari starts at about 8 am. Being there at that time will make you see several cars coming out during a relatively short period. Then it will be quiet for quite some time, as they of course all have to get back first. This can easily take 45 minutes of no activity. Then, during the rest of the day, things are more spread. There is a lunch break though, which also leads to no activity. At about 5 pm, most test cars will be back in and spotting is over. Ciao, Lars T.
Unfortunately Ferrari will only let you into the factory through an appointment by an authorized dealer. But Lamborghini is more relaxed (really friendly people everywhere) and we were very happy to be able to join a one-hour factory tour without a prior appointment! For the pics like seen in this thread, there's no need to make any appointment, as all pics were taken on public roads and you just need to wait at the test car entrance/exit. Of course you will see a lot more cars in one day at Ferrari than at Lamborghini, since Ferrari builds a lot more. Still, there is enough activity at Lamborghini nowadays to also make road-spotting there interesting and worthwile. I can recommend it! Ciao, Lars T.
Well, there are many pics still coming in this thread, but unfortunately Verde Ithaca is indeed not included. It's a pity, since I too was really hoping to snap some pics of this great colour on the road! During the factory tour, we saw a Gallardo Spider and an LP 640 Coupe in Verde Ithaca at the production lines. Unfortunately no pics allowed inside... BTW, we also saw a white/orange LP 640, destined for Saudi Arabia. And in the leather department, they had just finished a pair of Murcie seats in white & light green (like Verde Ithaca). Ouch, these were very er... individual! Pearl white (Balloon white) seemed to be a very popular colour now, which was confirmed by the tour guide: Since about one year, demand for this colour is constantly increasing. Ciao, Lars T.
Thanks for the nice comments, also to all the others who posted these! Yes, my dad enjoyed it very much, even if he's not such a car fanatic as I am. But he is very willing to join me again next year for another little car holiday! Ciao, Lars T.
Quickly before going to work, here's another batch of pics with many more to follow later!
