I guess they are all 'worthy' of being protected with a car cover.

I got a magazine in the mail and thought that it was cool that they used a red USA 308 GT4 with original 14" wheels in the ad for a car cover.

That wasn't feigned ignorance, I really don't know the difference. I don't pay much attention to American cars. Now that I think about it, I should pay a little attention to the Chryslers as I found out that the son of the person we bought our first Ferrari from (in 1975) was a designer at Chrysler and apperently is now at GM. (http://www.autoweek.com/files/awdf_07/df_speakers.html#boniface)

This guy grew up around 50s and 60s Alfas, Ferraris, Maseratis and Lancias and owns a few Alfas. I wouldn't be surprised if he was responsible for the Ferrariesque egg-crate grills on some of the Chryslers a few years ago. Perhaps he will do some good things with GM.

I have not seen it on TV but I have watched it on U-tube many times. Yellow GT4s are awesome.

I have looked throught some of the "Ferraris movies" thread and have not found any that mention the GT4, though. Perhaps someone out there knows of any movie with the GT4.

Autosport- the owner of this company (also International Auto) owns a 308GT4. Their international auto catalog carries parts for Alfa and Fiat. A few years ago, I wrote the owner an e-mail suggesting that since many alfa/fiat parts cross reference with the ferrari 308 series, maybe they should start listing them in the catalog. I thought it might increase sales for them. I got an acknowlegement letter, but it doesn't appear that they have started doing that...

I did not know of any connection between Autosport and Internatonal Autoparts.

I DO know that my car WAS owned by Paul Opiela of International Autoparts. My car also came with a similar blue cover (http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=136433594&postcount=360). Could that be my car in the picture????

There is a picture of an early (1987?) Testarossa on the wrapper of a package of shop rags for sale at Sam's, I noticed today.
Nice to see someone in packaging has good taste.

The first ad is from a company called "AutoSport." I had not previously heard of them. The second ad is from Griots.

This is the mailing address for AutoSport:
    AutoSport
    P.O. Box 9036
    Rt 29 North
    Charlottesville, VA 22906

My car was licensed in Virginia. (I had to scrape the registration stickers off the inside of the front window with a razor blade.) More evidence that my car could be the one in the ad.

The blue fabric of my car cover matches that in the ad. The exhaust tips and rear exhaust cover match also.

So it looks like they used 14582 for the picture in the ad.

That's pretty cool. It was my understanding that Paul Opiela owned or was involve with both companies, but I could be wrong. I didn't know that you have his car. I think it is very likely that it is your car in the photos. Pretty cool.

I have great hopes for GM in the not so distant future. Hiring REAL car guys like Eaton and Boniface are huge steps in the right direction. Headlines in the Detroit Free-Press this morning predict GM back to profitability by the end of this year...not too bad considering that they lost 10 billion last year. http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070315/BUSINESS01/703150340
