from http://www.topgear.com/content/news/stories/1773/ Looking good is an Italian national pastime, and Paolo Boffi is better at it than most. He has a keen eye honed through designing luxury furniture, but now he's commissioned his dream car from Zagato. The Maserati GS Zagato is based on a Spyder chassis, but shortened by 180mm to improve body stiffness and handling. The two-seater coupe is made from aluminium and is a one-off creation. Boffi has commissioned the car to take part in the Concours D'Elegance Villa D'Este, which is a fashion competition on April 20-22 for the world's rarest and most glamorous cars. Boffi remains silent on how much the Zagato GS has cost him, but he insists the car will be driven on the road.
Finally some pictures of the front... http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2007/04/maserati-gs-zagato-new-image-gallery.html
Sort of a disappointment. Not that Zagato is always successful, but I think they could have done better. It is interesting how they've kept the front fenders similar, but not quite. Seems like they could have done something cool like used LED headlights at the front. Also, the line that leads up around the rear side windows across the rear windscreen seems like it is just the same as the 575Z and the DB7 Z. I hope Boffi didn't pay much.
hm....its not beautifull nor is it really ugly! Its - NOTHING!!! So, lets forget this ...eh...attempt! Ciao! Walter
I for one am surprised at this car. Just about everything that has come out of Zagato for the last 8 years has looked great. While I see many of the Maserati/Zagato styling cues from years gone by. This just looks like an egg with a Maserati grill. Joe
