Does anybody know this manufacturer from England?
    I just won a 1/14 330P4 (racenr. 3) on ebay.
I have several other modells in 1/14. Mainly Brianza's and HE14, but won this one for a bargain ( I think).
It was sold in 1987 from Nathan's Studio for around 1300 dollar, I won it for 275 dollar. Its with enginedetail and plexiglasscase.

I looked through my books to find the chasisnr. but couldn't find a P4 that raced with nr. 3 It must be familiar to the experts, i'm curious which one is it? Could it be 0846?

I'm really excited with it, and as soon as it comes in, i'll post pictures
( should take about 2 weeks from U.S. to the Netherlands)

Very nice model - but unfortunately I'm not familiar with the manufacturer.
0848 has been driven with #3 - but only after conversion to 412 P specs. according to http://www.barchetta.cc/english/All.Ferraris/Detail/0848.330P3.htm

    Hi Hans
I know about it. I commissioned it to be made and sold it through my shop - Nathan's Studio. What do you want to know?
    Nathan
PS By the way - which country did it come from?

Beautiful piece! I must admit I am a bit annoyed that it slipped through my Ebay-radar!

    Nathan,
    Amazing, what a story.
It was actually sold through your shop.
The original sales-slip is delivered with the modell The date of sale was
16 july 1987 The name on the slip says a mr. Leonard.
The previous owner was a porsche dealer from Indiana (u.s.)
    It crosses the Atlantic again......

Can you tell me how many were made, and what other ferraris in this scale were made by this workshop.
    Who was mr. Leonard?
I can't find anything on google in relation to this modell or the maker.
I love these older modells in 1/14, they are pieces of art.

Nowadays they don't make them like this anymore.
They were made in the pre-computer era, and being 20 years old they all have a story.

I collect ferrari modells for over 20 years, when these were built. I was at the beginning of a professional carreer, and they were wayyyyyyyy out of my league.
Nowadays, occasionally you run into something special like this, and they are really special to me.
I have 2 Brianza's and 3 enrica 1/14 modells, and I will never sell them...

    Anxiously awaiting the arrival.........

Congratulations - that is a real 'steal'. If I'd seen it I would have bid for it myself. In those days I couldn't afford such an expensive model, and had to sell all I could. The price on the invoice is £s (not $s) and that was 20 years ago! Mr Leonard was a customer in the USA. We made/supplied a few models for him IIRC, but don't know much more than that.
I believe only 5 or 6 P4s were built, and there were no other models - just the P4. You have there a very rare item in deed.
    Well done
    Nathan
PS - IF you ever decide to sell it can I have first offer? Thanks.

    Nathan,
    thanks for the info.
Becoming happier with it, by the moment!!!!!!!

If it ever gets sold again...., you'd better contact my wife, shes probably the one who will sell it one day........ (most women outlive the guys)
I am planning on staying around quite some time, but I will leave her a note, to contact you, if the inevitable ever might happen.
I know she will plan a vacation with the revenues of of my collection after I pass away.(a bit further than Torremolinos I think).

seriously, I will let you know if I ever sell it.
for now, I'll keep a print of this thread, the ebay-discription and the original bill with the car, to make the story complete.

This is one of the things that make F-chat a very important and knowledgeable resource for anything you want to know about ferrari worldwide.

This is the prize of my collection, and is not likely to happen again.
The moment I won this model was the best in 25 years of collecting ferrarimodels.

In terms of quality, it beats the Brianza's and Enrica models by miles....

Ebay is a fantastic thing, with some knowledge and a lot of luck it brings great things.

Nathan, I can understand why you would like to have one back.
The man who built these is a very skilled artist, its a piece of art!

As I said - he is a jewellery maker by trade and therefore used to fine detail. How much would a model like this cost today? Many £thousands I expect. Yes, I wish it was mine but at least it has got a good home and a very pleased new owner.
    Congratulations
    Nathan
