FYI, it's "Owings" Mills, not "Owens", but in any case not too hard to find.

From where you live, you could almost walk on a nice day. If I weren't hit with pollen and a head cold at the same time, I'd be there. I'll talk to Richard on Monday, if I live. Cheers.

About a 15-minute drive from my house, so I hope to stop by briefly, out of curiousity, en route to Charlottesville for the weekend. Yeah, the pollen count is deadly lately!

I plan to show up, since I live close by. They had my TR for an oil change, transmission issues, etc. recently, and the charge was so reasonable for all that they did that I thought it was a mistake! Ethical, trustworthy people, who deserve our support (IMHO)...

Pantera are you there? I'm leaving Potomac pretty soon. About 9:00.
I'm thinking of stopping in Burtonsville. I think there is an impromptu drive in there.

sorry I could not make it; I did, however, take the Ferrari out this morning. The car is running the best it has ever run in the 7 years I have owned it thanks to the work Richard and the guys did on it last month.

I got out to Radcliffe around 10. As I was approaching, I caught a glimpse of a lovely Daytona in my mirrors, a great sign of what was to come. I let him pass me, just for the thrill of hearing a vintage v12. Even driven reasonably, that car has an authoratative sound that is music to one'e ears.

I"m posting some pictures and will put up more later. Richard and his crew had a great day to work with and they did the most with it. There were great cars and good food and drink to be had.

There were some wonderful variety of cars on site, including some from Richard's neighbor Treasured Motors.

Thanks to all who took the oppportunity to share their cars and see what Radcliffe has to offer.

    regards

    Ken

ps, see if you can pick out the recent aquisition of one of our own.

Thanks! I use a Fuji S3 Pro with a Nikon 18-200 vibration reduction lens. I don't even put on my wide angle that much any more.

Here are a couple more from yesterday.

    cheers

Ken Glad you liked her! Ferrari made 434 of them, of which maybe 350 survive, I have been looking for one for about 3 years. It was well worth the wait! M

One of the highlights from the open house at Radcliffe was the firing up of Richard's ancient Alfa. Here is the story from Richard: "I'm told you want a story on the 1954 Alfa 1900 I got started today. When I was in college in New Hampshire in 1974 I discovered this 1954 Alfa Romeo 1900 with Touring coachwork. I purchased the car in 1976 and have had it ever since. It's been 27 years since I ran the car last, so as special event with the open house I decided the start the car. After a little diagnosis we got it started and it ran pretty well. My intention is to start a full restoration next year."

It was a very special moment to hear the Allfa spark to life. After it was shutdown I noticed a lovely pile of rust by the exhaust pipe. That's when I may have coined a new term "rustina".

Again thanks to all that brought their lovely cars out to share and to Richard and company for putting on a great day.

    ken

ps' I finally went thru all my pictures and fouind the tr shots, Walter!
