"Name that Miura"...with minimal info and no photo. (I have some old 35mm prints around here somewhere, packed away in boxes) At the Dallas Chief Nationals drag race in '93 or '94, I saw a red Miura in the pits. The owner was the friend of a dragster pilot (sportsman, not Top Fuel). The Miura owner was from Oklahoma. He told me that he once had a Countach, but it was totaled on the day he took delivery. He drove it to a country club and a drunk driver plowed into it. Any idea who that guy is and where his Miura is now? I've been reading the Miura and Countach Reunion threads. I'm just amazed at your knowledge of these cars. Thanks, Lee
That would be Doctor Gary Baker who drove his Miuras wherever he went - as he should. Both cars since sold. Joe www.joesackey.com
John, Ron had but one Miura - white SV. Joe www.joesackey.com PS - Regards to Cindy and the kids - they look great!
Ron Miller had 2 Miura, the white SV and a red late P400, I sold the p400 to an east coast dealer, I had this car at my shop in San Clemente, and sold the SV back to the owner that sold the car to Miller, for resale. NOT science fiction or hear say.
You learn something new every day. However Gary Baker was given to long trips in his Miuras, and it appears Ron hardly used his cars, and they sat in his defunct museum gathering dust. Either way, we have narrowed the mystery Miura driver down. Lee see if you can find the images and post them... Joe www.joesackey.com
