What in the world are those things on the end of the arm rests? I have NEVER seen those before and it says "original interior"

I remember seeing this car on the market years back. If I remember correctly it was wrecked at one point. I could be wrong but I thought it had been rear ended. I can't forget those speakers installed either.

That is the ugliest speaker set up I have ever seen in my entire life.

Maybe/kinda. All the 308s were GTBs up till '77 anyway, and the GTBi cars aren't really the most sought after. I think you just have to bid on this one on its own merits, not as some kind of landmark car.

I concur. Although I think I have seen it on another 308, so someone thought it was a good idea.

Anyone save a copy of the ugly speaker setup? It's been yanked from ebay, perhaps for asthetic reasons.

When I got my car, the arm rests were modified for 3 1/2" speakers sticking up almost like an inner side view mirror. Within a week I reglassed the arm rest and recovered them to normal, purging the memory from my mind.

Figured someone was talked into 'improving' the sound performance but it sure was atrocious. Hate to know what they paid for the job.

Nice 308. I like the chin spoiler on your car. Is it a factory spoiler?

    BTW, nice shark, too.

Actually, since the speakers are obviously a home made botch job, I'm more intrigued in the look of the tan carpet in a black interior.

I've never seen this color combo before.

Man those speakers just look so out of place it's unreal. I wonder who ever came up with that idea?
