Monterey Auction Results Thread

Many of these cars are being discussed independently in several different threads, but I thought it would be nice to see them all in one place. Here are the "vintage" Ferraris that sold in Monterey this past weekend (as posted on the auction websites). Not sure, but I don't think any of these prices include buyer's premium.

Thanks Wayne! I have been wanting to know results without having to wait for next months SCM!

WOW. To those who thought prices would be down on everything not in the "super rare" catagory.... oooooops. Those are some big dollar results no question. I know its impossible but it sure would be interesting to know how many of those cars are going overseas and the weak dollar made the big prices cheap.

It's looks like Gooding is the house to go to when selling vintage F-cars. Their prices seem very strong IMHO.

Minor point: the 330 GT 2+2 was listed as a Series 2 but, in fact, is an interim or Series 1.5 meaning it has the 4 headlight front but the series 2 mechanical upgrades.

Art S.

Gooding Lot #41

Is that a 365GTC chassis number? I'm no expert, but it looks too early to be a 365GTC.

Jack.

Actually that price seems low to me....some 330GTCs are in that territory now.

330gtc more valuable than 365gtc

I know this is controversial but, IMHO, the 330gtc is better and more desirable than the 365gtc and should be priced above it. The 330gtc is a more pure car, no smog equip. lighter and the engine inthe 365 is not close to a Daytona but just a larger 330 engine. Visually, the 330 looks much better.

Undeniable proof that a vintage Ferrari is no long "on the moon" for the average enthusiast. They are obviously on Pluto or headed for the next galaxy.

Hmmmmmmm unless very well documented as factory delivered that way this would seem to hurt the value rather than help. Particularly "funky" wheels.

Why do yo think that a 365 GTC is heavier than a 330 GTC? It is the same car, same engine, just bored out 1/2 liter
