She had a couple of good thoughts in there somewhere. If we U.S. citizens just owned some maps, things would be so much better ...
Geez, We didn't get the other girl's answers, but I sure hope South Carolina wasn't the winner! Cute though, but dumber than dog ****!
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/2496427.stm Oh, see how well you can do these. http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/states_experiment_drag-drop_Intermed_State15s_500.html You can try Europe as well.
A blonde was sitting in the train station reading the paper. The headline read, "12 Brazilian Soldiers Killed!" She turned to the woman next to her and asked, "How many is a Brazilian?"
Her idea wasnt bad but she got caught by pressure and then went downhill. If people dont know how to locate a country its because they have never seen a map . She was right.
notice that both north and south carolina are there... thats what im talking about, i am a transplant to nc and some of the girls may be stupid but...
That was pretty hard to watch. Then again, it was a stupid question, which resulted in a very stupid response. Anyway...there are ~30 million females in the US under the age of 15 and the same amount of males. That's 60 million under 15, which is approximately 20% of the US population. Some of those kids, i.e. age 0 to say 8, are too young to be learning about global geographics. That's probably about 10%+ of the US population that doesn't know where the US is on a map because they're too young. Then there are those in that age group over 8 that still probably don't know for whatever reason to make up the rest. Maybe even blind people. It wouldn't have been a stupid question if they said "__% of American adults don't know where the US is on a map" instead of including everyone from every age range. Do they honestly expect every America to know where the US is on a map? Go ask a newborn and you'll only get screaming and crying. So I'm going to say FAIL for person that gave that question and FAIL for the idiotic response. I'd still hit it.
My god, that answer was horrible. When it comes to geography, I'm wondering if I'm smart or everyone else is just retarded. Just shows how great the American education system is.
i dont understand why people have such a hard time with geography, in my world geo class as a freshman about 5 people had australia and austria mixed up and i believe it is because a large percent of students just dont care, that is why i couldn't stand public school
+1 to the public school thing. I put up with it. Im the only one in my class that knew the word "the" was an article. And that you should use an, not a in front of a word that starts with, or has a vowel sound.
