Now THAT is a rare sight. How much do those trade for? Are they serviced at Lambo dealers?

Don't be sorry for only taking 2 shots of the interior. Of all my car magazines, I don't ever remember seeing ANY picture of the interior of this car. Thank you for sharing your pictures on a beautiful and truely "Rare" car!!

I feel sorry for the owner. I bet everywhere he goes, people call it a Lamborghini.

 

Kind of ironic considering gandini designed this body pretty much as a prototype to the diablo. Gandini also penned several other lambos including the countach. That's like building a car, having pininfarina design the body, and then complaining that people think it looks like a ferrari.

Very cool car. I remember reading about it in the late 80s when everyone was touting it as the successor to the countach.

 

That is a really cool car and the pictures are great. The double headlight design on this car sort of reminds me of the "family truckster" from the movie "Vacation".

 

I remember reading about that car in high school! My friends and I just kept saying "it has a friggin' V16!"

That design has aged much better than I would have expected. The detailing on the cam covers is a nice touch.

It must be insane to work on that motor. I wonder how you get to the forward side of it. Is there access thru the passenger compartment?

One would think that a tune up would be an expensive proposition.

Just saw this thread. Claudio brings the Cizeta to local shows a lot. Nice guy with wonderful stories about the car, his time with Lamborghini, and his encounters with the rich and famous. I have a whole gallery of stuff we shot at the Art Center College of Design Car Classic in '06. Cool car, but it does get mixed up with a Lambo all the time. Considering this came out a year before the Diablo it stings a little because it doesn't share a single element with that car. The other long-standing incorrect assumption is that the V16 is a pair of mated V8s from Ferrari or another manufacturer. Totally false. It's a unique design. It even still gets referred to as a "Cizeta-Moroder," which was just the name affixed to the project. Moroder was a backer that pulled out very early on. A fun car that sounds like nothing else on Earth. These never come up for sale, but you can actually still commission a new one if it's your cup of tea.
