360 Challenge has problems

Hello, I am new to ferrari chat and am extremely happy to speak with enlightened me such as most of you guys! First of all, i am not an owner (other then a few porsche). I am 14 (by the way sorry if i have any grammer mistakes) and am not planning on being in the financial situation needed to own a ferrari for some time (if i ever am).

I just thought i would share an experiance with a 360 challenge that i was a spectator to. About a year ago i was with our porsche club (i am the PCA kid in my area) at VIR (Virginia International Raceway). There was an AMAZING 360 challenge there. I just wanted to go up to it and kiss it (i fought off that temptation). Anyway, the owner wasnt a spectacular driver but he was ok. He was going through turn 1 and i think locked up the wheels and spun out and off the course (no harm done cosmetically). After stalling out and restarting the car, he realized that the car was stuck in 2nd and 3rd gears. This intrigued me so i asked my "uncle" who is really just our mechanic to explain about the problom (he didnt have much to say other then it was stuck in two gears). Jeff is his name, anyway he wanted to approach him to ask him if he would mind jeff looking at the problom. Jeff is one of the best mechanics in virginia.


Anyway, im sorry if this is in the wrong spot of the forum or whatever. I just wanted to introduce myself to you guys and to tell a story. Hope you guys are having a great week!

Yea, sorry if i piss some of you guys off and you can call BS on me if you want but i bought 1977 911(in restoration process and is about to be restored) with the money i made from detailing cars. The 1974 914-4 was bought with half of my money half money from a fund set up by my grandfather. The 914 in question was owned before by my father but he needed money because his business (clothing) was moving and the economy isnt the greatest right now. The other 914 was bought as an investment about 3 weeks ago, and is up for sale. If you guys would like i can post pictures of the familys garage with my cars in it.

Sorry if im boring you guys with my stories but i hate it when people under estimate my drive to do well and try to pass what i worked so hard for off as me just being a rich kid with everything given to him.

By the way the garage has gotten cleaned up A LOT since that picture was taken.

 

Those pics are of the other 914. Its a racecar. Dad said it felt great. When we were driving it before i bought it the car stalled out (the carbourator is completely out of wack) and guesss what drove up... a state police car. We stalled out in the middle of the road 4 or 5 times before we got it going. (the car wasnt registered at this point) but the officer knew what we were going through and smiled and waved. Anyway... anyone wanna buy a porsche? i think im asking around 15,000, but there is a lot more in it. There is a 911 suspension and so much more under it. i can get a full list of all its mods.

 

The businesses are a detailing business and car storage. I am looking a a property for both (on one lot). The lot would probobly be payed for with the fund my grandfather set up for me in the event that i did manage to think up a business idea. The other option for paying for the lot (and buildings that were going to be built) is putting a mortgage on it. So my ideas are hardly lemonade stands and newspaper routes (though i did check into the newspaper route)

 

And the the 914's are hardly used crapped cars. They may be used but they are not "crap". Or i guess they are relative to a ferrari but most people would agree they are not crap.

I guess one could argue the 911S is crap right now but that WILL NOT be the case in about 2 years when everything is finished. The cars i bought were bought as an investment (or thats how i pursuaded my dad to let me write the checks) and will probobly be sold in a few years in order for me to buy my first (reliable) car.

It always feels good when men say good luck with what you are doing because i know what it feels like to get laughed at by an elder. And then i usually offer the person that laughs at me 50% off their 1st detail and they always come back.
