Smile Third Annual DFW Toy Run

Everyone mark your calendars for Saturday December 8th. That will be the day for the 3rd annual toy run. As many of you know this is an all inclusive run--"a run what you brung" event. The only prerequisite is that you bring a toy or a cash donation for the Kids. I am in the process of planning the route and the start of the event should be convenient to the Dallas and Ft. Worth sectors equally. I will keep everyone appraised of the progress but as usual I do need to know how many people will be participating, so that I can plan for the maps and the restaurant.
The last two years have been very good. The second year was much better than the first and I hope that we can continue that tradition. Remember this is only about 4 hours of your time, an exercise for the cars, lunch with friends-including imbibing and back patting and MOST IMPORTANT bringing a smile to some deserving child!
I hope the hear from lot's of you so that we can make this the best run of all.

Don

I wanted to make this with you guys last year. It sounded like a good cause and something I wanted to be part of but my car was in 10,000 pieces. So far it looks like I will actually be able to make it to this event. I want to be there in the worst way, so barring any issues with the car between now and then I should be there.

Date Looks Good

Don,
Thank you (again) for pulling this together.
Last year was great (a little chilly for the first 1/2)
Date looks open for me!

Hi Will - not exactly the "real Lizards" - (I don't think Jennifer (PR person for FL) could pull that off) - but instead, a slightly modified Miata belonging to staunch team supporters. Seth (team principal/driver) and the team think it's pretty neat.

TILLMAN YOU ARE CORRECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is not the roads west of Ft. Worth it is the roads west of I35. We took a sojourn up a couple of roads during the NASCAR weekend. The map showed the roads to be good and they looked like they would be fun to drive. The Ferrari badged Explorer needed 4wd to go down one of the roads. X out those babies, rethink the entire route with 4 weekends to go. YIKES!

Don, worse case. Run the same route as last year. I know my son enjoyed the fire station (almost) as much as the ride. :-)

Should be able to make the run. Really enjoyed last year's "toy run". I will confirm as the date draws nearer.
