I know there is a thread on this already but I thought this info was important enough to give this it's own thread because I don't want someone bidding on this car like my brother almost did 2 hours ago without this info. After JJay911 posted that 2 F experts went to see the car and described it as a real piece of crap, I called a friend and low and behold, this car was in two accidents. One of which was in June 2007. My brother spoke to the guy at Monza and he said the car was pristine-no accidents, bodywork etc. The fact that this recent accident was a few months ago and the dealer didn't disclose it, is troublesome if he in fact knew about it The settlement amount showed it was a major claim. I guess this explains the "new paint job".

Thought this info, coupled with the fact of what JJ stated, was important to get out to the brothers here on Fchat. Like I previously posted in the original thread, if you do bid, be careful of the gas filler design that lies under the rear bonnet and ask about the accident history. Also, the Carfax shows a period of almost 6 years where the car purportedly did less than 200 miles.

By the way the previous owner had it for less than 1 year and supposedly spent $45K on it (paint,exhaust,15K major, brakes) drove it for less than 1 k miles and decided to trade it in. The owner is supposedly also getting a custom "Tourneau cover" for the new owner because he lost the original one that came with the car.

Good Luck to all that still want to proceed.
