Blake, if you're still considering a 328 this might not be too bad, I saw this car in person and it is clean. Check it out. More pics on this site http://www.motorcargallery.com/ Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
There was a yellow/cocoa car on sale in Philly for as long as I can remember. The hood had the famous prop-rod bend in it. Can't be that many in that colour combo.
I believe the dealer in Phil. was either called Pleasant Motors or Pleasant St. Motors...apologies, I don't have the vin ...
Great price. I suspect a color discount baked into it. I think you ever love this or nod politely and move on.
Same here. Yellow was my 3rd favorite color choice when looking for my car, behind red then black. Have seen a yellow one with a black interior that looked sharp. For me this interior would take a little getting used too.
I had a gold 87' 328 with that same interior. I considered painting it yellow ( the only other factory color that I think looks good with brown) but traded it in for a black one. IMVHO the brown just looks too conservative (unlike wild & crazy tan).
While I've never been a big fan of yellow, I do think the 328 looks pretty good in yellow. The chocolate interior is quite interesting too. Some guy in Massachusetts has a metalic green GTB with a chocolate dashboard and seats and its really nice looking interior. Unfortunately, I hear the paint on his car even from when it was new had lots of problems. Best regards, Dino
Wow...I wasn't considering yellow but that look really works imo. Forgive my noobness, what's the famous "pop-rod bend in the hood"? Thanks. -Blake
The gas strut that keeps the hood open has a detent button that must be pressed in order to close it. It attaches at the weakest part of the hood, so if you forget to press it you'll bend the hood. Fortunatly, my 89' dosn't have the detent.
The PROP rod bend is a crease in the hood where the prop rod attaches to the underside, resulting from trying to close the hood without first releasing the prop.
Sorry for digging up an old thread, but just found it (with the good ole search function ) and really liked this one, but looks like it is long gone. Anybody know of any other yellow 328 in good condition for sale somewhere that might be worth a look ? Thanks Ulf
