Thought about continuing with the other thread but decided 'new painting': 'new thread'. For a more detailed description of the style used here you can read the intro to the Kimi thread. Same scenario, different driver. If all goes according to plan the 2 should make quite a pair. (They do in real life, so there's a BIG incentive... ) Here we go... Once again starting with the background... i find working from furthest "back" and working forwards. Others might differ... but it seems to be working for me.. the opaque quality of the paint allows to cover up the layer behind. Thats something i am still getting used to... Watercolours, being transparent, are the total opposite. You can darken the layer, but complete covering is impossible... GT Image Unavailable, Please Login
Good luck with this one as well. I am looking forward to future stages, not to mention seeing the final outcome with Kimi. Tony.
Off to a great start. I see the first painting nearby. Makes sense if the two are going to be a pair. Wishing you success with this new undertaking! F.
Thanks! Yes, i keep "Kimi" nearby so as to keep the colours and style identical. More updates soon... got quite a bit done last night... GT
Coming together nicely. Piece by piece, step by step. Very interesting to watch the early phases. The order of what you choose to do next. F.
thx.. yeah, even tho i work from back to front as i said, there is still a myriad of things at this stage i could choose to do... so its mainly what i feel drawn to do next (pun intended ). Another update soon... GT
...and more body work behind the driver... starting to take shape.. GT Image Unavailable, Please Login
Its looking really good. The rear wing is progressing especially well. Keep it up. A facinating style you're developing. Very interesting to see in stages like this. Tony.

LOL. Very Funny. There are advantages to making your own hours. Looking really sharp. Keep us posted when you can. F.

No update yesterday?!?! AAARRRRGGGHHH!!! Don't do this to us! I know you are a busy guy apart from your Auto Art, but this masterpiece needs finishing! I REALLY hope we can see some more stages on Monday. These 2 works, when completed will be outstanding. Absolutley no equal!! The brilliant colours. The composition. The style of painting. All contribute to perfection. Take care, Grant. And good luck with it. F.
