I always hate digging thru threads for the pics, so forgive my indulgence!!! First 2 were taken from the pre-drive Monte and I made around Reston before hand. The rest are from the event. Great pictures Robert. I posted a few in the Lifts and Lunch thread as well if anyone's interested. It was nice seeing everyone today.
Betsy, Thank you for organizing this event. Peter thank you for opening your home to us. It was great seeing Nate, Luke, Robert, Stan, Norm, Laura, Bill & Betty and everyone. Lash, I'm glad I finally got to meet you. Johnathan it was a real pleasure meeting you thanks for all the information you gave me. I will definitely keep that in my when I get closer to my purchase! Here are some of the pics that I took today. I didn't want to duplicate any shots that were already posted. So I just added a few more and the Fcars that were present. Bill, As always great pics!! Does anyone have some pics of the 575m, that was a great blue/silver color!!!! I forgot take some pics of the car, thanks in advance. Robert
Thanks Robert, unfortunately the only "good" picture I took of the 575m is the 2nd picture in my post above. Sorry. Bill
Bill, very nice to meet you as well! Okay, another dumb question...who was in the 330 2+2? I can't believe I didn't see him pull up. It was hot! LS
it's not Bayer's, Reese's, Rippey's, Fuisz's or O'Bara's. would be interested to know who the new vintage brother in the region is . . . .
I'm not going to start a new thread because I'm pretty sure this doesn't deeply affect anyone in out Mid-Atlantic group, but I thought I'd share the following pics since this is what I've been working on instead of going to FCA events. This event at Peter's looked like it was a lot of fun and I like to see the way the Mid-Atlantic FCA seems to be re-generating itself with a great core group. I will miss Laura's Spring thaw as well. Dad and I have been working on restoring/preserving his 1955 500 Mondial that he has owned since 1960 for about 2 years now - you might recall that it was in bare aluminum at the FCA National back in 2006. The body and chassis have been at David Carte's shop while dad and I have been working on various component parts like the brakes, engine and transaxle. Below are: a shot of the nose w/ the new grill (the only piece that was really missing from the car); the tool that we had fabricated for muscling the big mousetrap-style valve springs that the Lampredi motors used into place (thanks to Michael Bayer who came over to lend brain and extra hand power); all the springs and valves installed: before and after shots of the big 15" front drum brakes the pressure is now really on since we received the official invitation from the Pebble Beach Concours D'elegance today. Enjoy. Congrats on the invite!!! Now the pressure is on. Good luck and good work. Wish I coulda made the lift day. The hosts are very gracious and I enjoyed it a lot last year. It looks like another good one.
Its been an impressive project all along Bryan. We can hardly wait to see the Mondial restored to its former glory.
OK, here you go Nate! I miss quoted on the video as a '99, its really a '00 F360, oh well. Enjoy! http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5413710387969257513 Robert
You need to start a separate thread on this without a doubt. Those before and after shots are incredible! Congrats on the Pebble Beach invite! Best of luck. cheers ken
Wow, this looks like a great day. I'm really sorry that I was not able to make it. Hopefully next time... - Eric

Thanks for the invite. I spent the whole weekend in bed sick as a dog. I got all my chores done on Thursday but must have over extended myself. From the pics it looks like I missed a great day. Going back to bed now.
Peter, On behalf of all your friends and fans in the FCA-MAR, many thanks for a lovely afternoon at the "Garage Mahal." We all appreciate the incredible preparation required to set-up for this event and, then, to look so cool, calm and "very dapper" as you graciously greet all of your guests. This is truly a unique event in that members were able to rendezvous prior to the event for "interesting" drives to your home, then work on their cars or socialize or lunch or enjoy the grounds or any combination thereof. It's certainly our good fortune to have a member like you who is so sincerely involved with his cars and enjoys sharing that involvement with others. Thank you. Fred & Betsy, We are very fortunate in the FCA-MAR to have Board members who are all actively involved in ensuring that the members have a slate of events that is designed to appeal to their varied interests. The Lifts & Lunch event has become more popular each year. Many thanks to both of you as Board members and organizers of this "Winning" event. It's hard to please all the people all the time, but you've been the catalyst that brought this event to us and have always seen that it's well organized and smoothly executed. Many thanks again this year for an enjoyable day at Peter's. Bill
