It started out warm then got cold around Laurel but finally warmed up in the early afternoon. This was a great event, a bunch of car guys getting together to share their passion and a few burgers as well. Congrats to Richard, Patty and the crew for putting together a super event. My daughter had a great time and I met some great people.

There were more vintage cars then you'll find at Reading. V-12s were everywhere you looked. Tommy Yang had a very special 330 which was a 250 body with the 330 chassis. I believe one of fifty according to Michael Bayer.

The GT 40 was an ERA I believe and it was smokin'! 2300 pounds and 700 plus horsepower. Lash declared it the fastest car he has ever been in. It sounded mean too!

Surprisingly impressive event. I was not expecting the turnout of cars. As Ken mentioned, Tom Yang brought his gorgeous 330 America. Also, OpenRoads brought his beautiful Daytona and shared some fun memories from South FL. I also loved PF's 275 GTB (2). There were more vintage 2+2s present than I've ever seen at any FCA National meet or any Cavallino Classic. Mbayer was there with his 330 and C4. Also, BryanP was there with his 365 2+2 as well.

NT and I brought the '69 365 2+2 and the '66 GT350 to celebrate the Shelby vs Ferrari rivalry.

There was a forum member that brought a GT40 replica by RCR. It was built with a dry sump, ex-Winston Cup 5.9 liter, Yates racing motor...700 bhp and a weight of 2300 lbs. Imagine a Lotus Elise with 3.5 engines installed. Wheelspin at 100mph, 8200rpm shift points, more ass than J Lo.

    This car is serious business...

Great fun today...seeya tomorrow at Profile!!

    Hey Ken,

It was great meeting and thanks for bringing out the Contach. She is a lovely machine. Bring her out to the donut shop sometime. It would be fun to see her there in the am.

I had such a great time seeing friends and cars, I forgot to get a burger.

The RCR GT40 sure was a croud pleaser. When it pulled in I heard a half dozen guys say "Is it real?". With that motor, yes it was real.

I forgot to get any info about the 330 side by side though.

What a great event! Congrats to Richard on his shop and "Thank You" for having us. I too was plesantly surprised to see all the wonderful Classics, 330, 275, Daytona's and the myriad of other fine classic and collectable cars! My family and I enjoyed coming out to visit. Nate, Jim, Lash, Ken and Randy it was great seeing you all again!! Here are some of my pictures. Sorry if they are repeats.

    Enjoy,

    Bill

...and I almost forgot...Aiminghigher is no longer an FChat Event virgin. He finally made it out to a gathering! His black Countach QV looked great and the Waltos twins joined him with theirs later in the afternoon.

It looks like it was an outstanding event with awesome cars (and owners too I'm sure).

Is this an 'official' Maryland license plate... If so what is it. FCA, FOC, something else? Florida has over 200 specialized license plates but nothing Ferrari!

First I want thank everyone who came out yesterday. It is you made our event a great success. Special thanks to Michael Bayer who came up with the idea and also for providing lunch for everyone. I also want to thank Tom Yang for his tremendous support and for bringing his 330 America all the way from New York! I also want to thank all the vendors who came out - especially Fred Cooney from Automotive Custom Care, Pat Senatro from Mamock's Auto Elelctric, Russ Coldren of Baltimore Cylinder Head Works, and Sam Smith, Concours Judge for providing tech sessions. More thanks to Ken Visser, Mike & Vickie Mihm, Red Hawk Car Dollies and John Patterson with Cornwell Tools.

The event was immensely satisfying and I fell in love with the 328, one of my all time favorites. Next door. the Nash Metropolitan was most interesting since one of my neighbors has two. One white over green, and one white over yellow. All fabulous without a doubt. My car, which drew little interest was the rosso/tan 575M, surely not a classic. I wished I still had my Lusso. I had some pictures on the dash though few noticed. Still, I look forward to next year and many more eye-popping fine examples. One fine day's outing!

Great event, great time. Richard and Tom know how to throw an event that tops anything the FCA has to offer. Hats off to both of you guys for attracting such an amazing amount of vintage Ferrari's.

The gold Ghibli spyder, original '72 Pantera and the '58 Eldo with the stainless roof were some of my favorites not to mention Tommy Yang's 1 of 50 330 America... simply incredible!

    Hi All:

It was well worth my 600 mile round trip: I only wish that here in Pittsburgh we could have such facilities and the possibility of this kind of event and number of real car people.

    Cheers and thanks.

Great selection of old cars! Who had the maroon over dark red 275 GTB? That car is very subtle; without wire wheels it looks like a real sleeper. Any pictures of the rear view? Thanks

    Wonderful pictures. Thanks for posting.

Gotta give it to the Pantera guys- they are not shy about modding their cars. That is a seriously wild exhaust.

I'm jealous! Damn, I'm sorry I had to cancel at the last moment, it looks as though I missed a fantastic event. Do it again Tom, do it again! Better than the PB's and Amelia Island!

there's not a single car in any of those pics that I wouldn't love to have!
