FYI, there may be a new twist to the FRC Car Show this year. The ones in charge are considering giving either a motorcycle or ATV as a prize for the Best of Show winner. If that happens there may be a $10 entry fee per registered car. I'll post more info as I get details.

What if you changed it to a $10 raffle ticket for the prize? That way you get to keep it a free car show, and if people want to donate more, they can buy more than one ticket?

Frank.......Is there no chance that this year it could be from 10am until 2pm? (The afternoon event
there..........well it gets a little "toasty" especially starting when its at peak heat time)

That was my recommendation. However, I just help out and have no power whatsoever to decide which way the ones in charge decide to go with the motorcycle or ATV prize...it will be a nice prize for a $10 chance though and with only a 100 to 200 cars expected, pretty good odds as well...

Do you realize how many car show organizer would love to "only" have 100-200 cars? LOL! Such problems you have...

btw - any chance on making it a morning show?

My point was that a $10 'one in 100 to 200 odds' depending on how many people register their cars is not too bad for the chance to win an ~ $5k prize. Since the show has been an afternoon show for almost a decade now, I doubt they will change the time...it is in later in September this year though which should be a little cooler than last year.

Frank - I was making a joke about you using the word "only". 100-200 is a lot of cars. Not too many shows get that amount! That's what I was saying in my post - other organizers would die for those kind of numbers. I wasn't trying to refer to anything about the odds of winning a prize.

For people not into motorcycles or have need of an ATV, that's a good idea.
I guess you need to look at the type of people who come to your car show and try and think what they would like best...

    Frank,

There is a limit to the amount of space allowed to non-subscribers in the "manage attachments" section just a little bit below the area where you actually type in your post. If you make the file small enough, it won't imact your max allowed. Once you upload an image to fchat, you can not delete it to make room for more attachments later.

Best and least expensive idea is to upload your image to a photo storage site (photobucket, etc), and then place link to that image in your post here, or just put a link to your church's info here.

Unlike others, I'll be glad to help you if necessary.

First time I've heard of this... Do you enter when you get there or have we missed our chance? I'd love to bring out my Repsol Honda and a Ducati 848.
