My Mondial is currently being rebuilt after a full respray!!! Im having problems refitting the Rear window rubber spoiler... I cant get it to fit nice and snug the way it was... There are only 3 bolts holding the horizontal section and when tightend it pulls... It dosnt seem to have been bonded in the past... Even the 2 vertical pieces dont seem to be very secure... Anybody any ideas???

What do you mean, 'it pulls'? Does it twist with the tightening bolt? A silly question, but is your guy using the correct washers with the bolt?
We'll figure this out. Anyone else?

OBTW - very good looking car! What kind of exhaust is that?

It sure is twisting, not sure about the washers!!! Will ask on monday... Are they above the roof or beneath??? I take it youve removed this before??? Glad you like the car, getting it back next week... Ive been told its a Nick Cartwright exhaust, made in the uk in stainless steel!!!

Washers act to protect the surface of the fixed surface from the twisting motion and possible damage of the twisting bolt or screw. They also even and spread out the force applied over a bit larger area in some cases. I would check the fasteners and washers first.
    Good luck!
(If you have a good shot of the muffler system, I'd love to see it)

    Johnnnnnyy,

    Dude, I love your car.
My 1981 mondial8 will soon have its rear rubber spoiler back on also.
I got A Brand Spankin New rear center spoiler rubber too. (smile)
