Got my 612 back today after a 7-day stay at the dealer for the recall. Received the letter from FNA about two weeks ago.

About time, as the tranny has been a pain since I took delivery...

My Sessanta has been absolutely fine - marvellous in fact! No problems after 6000+miles in 4 months, but it's in for its service and recall now!

It says 2005-2007-- I wonder if it includes cars with the F1A (2008 and subsequent, and, I thought, the Sessanta)?

Do they put in a sensor that can stand higher temperatures or do they heat shield it?

Mine's going in next week to have the recall done, I'm told it's "a new part".

As I understand the problem, there were a batch of sensors made that did not conform to the specifications Ferrari gave to the parts supplier. Specifically the plastic composition did not meet the high temp standard. So a lot of these sensors melted!

The new sensors do meet the Ferrari temp spec.
