Called him up to order an new F40 coolant cap and a cavillino for a mod I'm considering. Damn if he didn't know the part numbers off the top of his head, and yes they're in stock. Factory Ferrari parts of couse. Be there in 2 days. He says, and oh BTW, if you're ever considering concoursing your car, keep the old cap as that one is 0,9 bar pressure rated and the newer, updated one is 1,1. A better cap, and still OEM, just not a period piece. And that cavaillino, you'll need to burnish the mounting studs to get that to fit within the F40 grill holes.

    Its like dealing Ferrari rainman.

Absolutely correct, Frank. Although Ferrari increased the vent pressure on the F40 cap (as well as others) to prevent unnecessary loss of coolant given the higher engine and engine compartment temperatures in a turbocharged car like the F40. 1 bar = 14.5037738 psi, so 0.9 bar = 13.1 psi versus 1.1 bar = 15.6 psi, a 2.5 psi total increase.

    Calling Ricambi:

I've been trying to go to your Ricambi website for 2 days now, but it won't load up for me. is it down??

Don't think it's my end, everything else is working fine for me.

I'm in Italy, Modena actually, 10 mins from the Factory. Do you think they've asked Telecom Italia to block that URL? (joking, of course).

Let me know, desparately seeking info on the gold kit for my 355...

    Thanks. Bob.
