In addition to my 56TC Baron, I recently became a 1/4 partner in this T-34.
The plane is spectacular, it's the cleanest plane I have ever seen, and it just dances in the sky...

Beutiful plane! Looks like it has the Nogle engine conversion - very nice. I almost got one but that spar AD stuff scared me away

Tell me about the T-34, how does it compare to the T-28? HP, years, cost? Looks great, congrats!

That is the ambient air pressure in the manifold equal to outside air pressure without the motor running. When the engine is turning, manifold pressure is lower at low throttle openings due to intake vacuum of the cylinders sucking in air on the other side of a closed throttle plate. This creates a total pressure in the manifold less than the outside pressure of usually around 29".

In turbo or supercharged aircraft, the blower can actually generate higher pressures in the manifold than ambient air pressure. This is good for power and great for keeping power at altitude as the ambient air pressures go down. In a normally aspirated airplane altitude provides less air for the engine to run on. In a blown motor, it can still pump in the air at higher pressures enabling the engine to carry power higher.

My next plane will have 6 plus seats and burn jet-A, just not sure how many engines.

I would by another glass Ovation in a heartbeat but my family is to big for anything Mooney makes.

Smile Look out for the Apache!

Some fun stuff.
The Apache Jet's cockpit looks a lot like an E145, but don't let that fool you.

Interesting thread, here's my photo

Great thread. You Ferrari guys are too cool for words. This is from a stop for BBQ in Abilene Texas about 3 years ago. Our plane is the 1948 Cessna 195 in the foreground. Jeff

What a sweetheart! A very classically pretty aircraft - arguably the prettiest Cessna ever!

And one of the nicest flying! A great airplane ! The other Cessna's that I think are good are the Cardinal and the T-50. Flew the -120 and -140 and the -180 and they are good airplanes in my opinion.
