Sorry to hear that.........how can someone just walk away with 4 chassis, it's not an easy task to lift the four of them and drive away.

WTH man. I seriously hope you catch the culprits red-handed making a sale. Can these Chassis be used to make replicas?...

Thats a serious downside to this...That the criminals would use these chassis to make duplicate bodies to produce illegal replicas.

I'm guessing that the individual knew Tom well enough to be aware of the of the existence of the chassis and that Tom was away in hospital to pull this off. Time will tell.

So sorry to hear this unfortunate news. This kind of thing dampens my spirit to even think there are individuals who do such acts, especially if they were someone Tom knew. Speedy recovery. Jimmy

Call me naive, but...isn't the the Ferrari circle/community rather small? Wouldn't it be difficult to pass (or peddle) these items incognito?

I had nothing to do with this! I swear!

but yes it sounds like an inside job that will be busted with ease (as we saw last week w the 250PF in CT)

I hope that they wil be recovered quickly. And I believe they will. I believe that a smart criminal is an oxymoron. In the meantime, I'm really sorry for your loss Tom.

One would think that, but the tale of 0799 shows otherwise.

I hope they were stolen by a stupid crook! Like the guy that stole rare Porsche racing engines from a guy, then years later advertised them for sale on the same guy's forums.

That's terrible: keep your chin up Tom: Krasnavian has a major point here: the list of suspects can't be very long...

OMG, that's awful. He lives only a couple miles from here. The important thing is that he is healthy though. The theft certainly can't help but I hope he's doing alright. Those chassis can't be easily sold (unless they find their way to Japan) so I'd assume they'll be found reasonably quickly.

This needs to be on Autoblog, Autoweek, etc.
