James, today RD announced he will still attend the races but in a reduced capacity as he wants to work on the McLaren Production Car side in order to get that part of the organization working. I find it funny that he reneged on giving Lewis the LM until he wins three championships. By the way in the original plan, Ayrton Senna was to receive one of the first McLaren F1 Cars in orange (Not an LM as that had not been made at that time).
Does it count if het gets a WDC at another team? And if i remember it correctly, the deal at the beginning of this season was, WDC and WCC... Not 3 WDC's ??!!

The goals haven't changed.. I remember reading about this months and months ago, and Hamilton said 3 WDC's. I wondered why people kept saying it was 1.

Smart thing for Lewis to do now is to make sure that his father doesn't ask to borrow the car, we all know what Anthony did with the CGT.
I thought it was 2 championships he needed to win? (as was reported last year). Good on him...I used to dislike the Mclaren F1 but over the years i've really grown to like it. I love how they sound, especially with a sport exhaust.
That F1LM is going to be worth HUUUUUUGE money some day. Just imagine it's provenance.... last F1 LM made and kept in pristine condition in McLaren factory until it was given for 3xWDC winner Lewis Hamilton, etc. I think it will remain the most highly valued F1 forever.
I'd say 01R will remained the most highly valued F1 forever being that it was the overall winner of the 24 Hours of LeMans.
He'd actually be getting the first F1 LM made as McLaren still retain possession of the prototype, chassis XP1 LM. It was built at the end of 1995, while the production LMs were built in 1996. The story has changed several times on what it would take to get the car. Originally it was two consecutive driver's championships, then one driver's championship along with the constructor's championship, now it's three driver's championships. If I were Ron, I'd keep changing the rules too. >8^) ER
Huh? I don't think either will be sold anytime soon so I don't know how long we would wait to "see" the result. If I was one of those billionaire Saudis, I'd buy the McLaren F1 Team and keep all the cars to myself, lol.
