Looking for a list of those firms who regulary part out and hold an inventory of wrecked / salvaged Ferraris and sell used parts. I have a couple of items on my "needs list" where used parts would be perfectly acceptable. The only two (2) that I can think of are TRutlands (USA) and Eurospares (UK) - does anyone know of any others? Cheers - DM
GT Car Parts in Phoenix has a huge warehouse of parted-out Ferraris, Lambos and Maseratis. About 99% of their business is mail order. They don't even have a sign on their building because they don't want anyone to know what's in there! (623) 780-2200
Call Ferrparts or F service 877-548-9541. Ask for Mike R, slow service (return call to see if he had the parts) but he prices his items right and knows his stuff.
I recommend new parts unless its just impossible to get that part new. You just never know what youre going to get unless you go new. You buy new, you get new. You buy used, the vendor may say its in good shape, but thats a matter of opinion... Id go new. Spend the money and get your moneys worth.
... yes, generally good advice -IF- the parts that you are seeking are available new today in the first place. Far, far too many of my "wanted" parts are now unfortunately showing up as NLA from all of the trusted and well known "new parts" vendors - thus today's requirement for the search for used parts! Cheers - DM
you probably already know about this guy for new parts, but just in case you don't... http://www.superformance.co.uk/308_a.htm BTW, I've only used his Dino parts but they are first rate! DM
www.italianauto.com www.ferrariservice.ws www.octagonauto.com www.mostlybritish.com www.specializeditalianrecycling.com www.ferraripartsexchange.com www.allferrariparts.com (Dennis McCan IIRC) Peter Seewny's place out east www.forzamotorsports.com ?? Just a few names I've checked in the past. Some may not be parting out Ferrari's like they ued too or still be around, but at one point you could find a thing or two at them.
