    Just drove down 35 and noticed that the remodel of the old Grand Prix track at Speedzone had karts on it. Might be fun to go check it out as a group sometime soon. The cars look more like the 5 horse than the old 15 horse GP cars they had before, but the track is as long or longer than the old grand prix course, complex figure 8 with a bridge, and te racoing is side by side on the same track instead of one single file time trial as it was recently, or two side by side like when they first opened.

    I drove by the old indoor karting location where we used to race. I knew the place went out of business, but I did not realize that the entire building was razed.

    That's where I met this whole crazy f/chat DFW group 5 years ago. Rob told me I was one of the few carrying a decent line in to the #1 hairpin.

    I am up for rubbin' some metal.

    Also planning a f/chat Slot Car Racing event soon. I discovered a new place near Garland Road and Buckner that has 2 of the large commercial tracks there, with timing down to the thousandth. It will cost like $10 ea for 3 hrs, and we can hit the local bars before and after. I refurbished my 2 identical cars, and bought a faster one also. Here are my cars, and a similar track shot. Will keep you guys posted. It is a blast, and you get hooked on lowering your times.

    I added a pole, I mean poll. Didn't put any dates next week because of the Boardwalk event and Jim can't make it, we need to wait on Jim to provide a good influence.
