If you have never seen or heard about the Mario Righini Collection before, you should have a look. Righini owns the first car Enzo Ferrari built after leaving Alfa Romeo – basically the first Ferrari although Enzo wasn’t allowed to call it that – in addition to the 1940 Targa Florio-winning Alfa Romeo 8C 2300. This is on top of literally dozens of incredible cars...ex-Villeneuve Ferrari 312, Ferrari Mondial, Lancia Stratos, more Alfas than you can imagine...it goes on and on.

Here is the story and pictures:

Thanks! However, BMW won the MM in 1940- that was the year the MM was reduced to a three lap race using a triangular course. The Auto Avvio 815 was built for the 1940 MM- used Fiat components due partly to an incentive program Fiat had at the time.

    Great photos!

Actually, it was the Targa Florio, although on a second glance, it appears to be the 1933 Targa Florio-winning car, not the 1940 race as I mis-stated.

Aha! Then it's Antonio Brivio's #8 car. That works.

    Thanks.
