I don't agree. I can see that it's no 308 or 250 TDF but putting it up there with AMC products? Personally I like it. Always have. http://autos.aol.com/gallery/worst-automotive-designs-of-all-time
I think this is an old or recycled feature. Glad to see the Jeep Compass on there, though -- the only vehicle bad enough to nearly kill the Jeep brand. As far as the Mondial, I wouldn't call it one of Ferrari's five worst.
Interesting, that the article had to give the Mondial a bad photo angle and lifted the headlights to somewhat qualify their choice of putting a Ferrari amongst common unattractive multi-production vehicles.
I have yet to see any other car company do a better looking mid engined 4 seater coupe than the Mondi.
Photographed in it's worst configuration at it's worst angle this car is still attractive. Whoever wrote this article is visually retarded.
Bargain! Maybe people will stop doing these kind of monstrosities if they knew about such deals! http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=258561
Actually, what are the other mid-engined, 4 seat coupes? 1. 308 GT4 2. Mondial 3. ... Maybe the Lotus Evora?
Mondial is an acquired taste to be certain, but it isn't one of the top 5 worst designs of all time. #6 maybe.
Wow, right there with the Aztec and Mustang II. What about this 4 seat beast? I wonder if it'll make this list 25 years from now. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think the Mondial cabriolet is so much more attractive than the coupe. A totally different looking car without those big rear pillars and all that leather flowing over the rear deck. Even so, one of the 5 ugliest designs......No way.
In pictures, maybe, but I have seen some seriously drop dead gorgeous coupes. f-chatter Mondialmerle has a sublime red/tan 3.2 coupe that makes my eyes water. Personally, I prefer the cab, but its like saying I prefer Salma Hayek over Freida Pinto, I mean...either way your doing pretty good, right
AOL Autos? Really? I did't know AOL was still around. And with "journalism" like this we can make our own list of the top 5 stupidest articles of all time.
Really, who else even MADE a four-seater, midengined car? I do think that the Mondial design was an improvement over the GT4.
Lamborghini did, the Uracco. Best looking of them all with ease. Not to say that the Mondi is so bad, but I prefer the GT4; that design is much more balanced and refined, but hey, beauty is in the eye of etc etc.

Alpine renault A310V6 Concerning the main subject of this thread, I found this article : http://www.caradisiac.com/php/essai_tun/ess_occ/sport/mg_565_ferrari.php Ok it is in french. But you can use googletranslator. It is a very good summary about what is the mondial, what You can expect of it. Concerning the beauty of the car : I dont take accountings of the number of pictures that has been made of my car by people in the street. Isnt it the final judgement ?
