Sorry, i did not see this question.......but I am simply documenting Countach mechanical/electrical details for my own benefit. Also trying to stimulate more conversation from the owners and mechanics beyond ownership and colors, if possible. I like the details about the details on the smallest details.
like - Do we have a pdf of the 1978 Jaeger catalog for gauges and senders for Countach application?

Thank for your help on this gauge quest. More details requested
Craig

Yes, I'd agree with that...looking at it again the suffixes on the other gauges face the same direction...It was the fadedd bottom of the 7 that got me. Good catch

The tach is a 997A.

My SW catalog dates from around 1978.

Smile Early LP400S Jaeger gauge panel

Here is an early LP400S gauge panel left.
Does the oil pressure gauge #4 have a low warning light on its face?
Is there a low oil pressure warning on an LP400S?
thx

Craig:

Strictly speaking, this is not the gauge binnacle of an early LP400S. An early LP400S would be one of the first 27 S1 cars, and it would have Stewart Warner gauges. This would be one of the second set of S1 cars, an S2 car, or an S3 car.

all LP400 have SW

early LP400S Series 1 have SW (27 cars, all 1978 and some 1979)

late LP400S Series 1 have Jaeger (only 1979)

all later cars have Jaeger to

no countach is defined by gauges, the gauge change happened middle of first series LP400S

At the risk of a severe case of redundancy, allow me to repeat whats been said here several times:

All LP400 = SW gauges
First 27 LP400S S1 = SW gauges

Yes there is a low pressure light on the oil pressure gauge on the LP400S. Not sure on the SW gauges of the very early cars.

Also like to know, this LP400S Jaeger oil pressure gauge has a warning light on it's face? If so where is the light located please? any picture of such? does this light illuminate at each start-up until oil pressure is achieved? what pressure (bar) is it set at?

thanks
Craig

yup, you are right, i got an email about a similar set on ebay from forzamot. There is another set on ebay and i remember they were knocked up a bit.

I was looking for an example of the SW euro face. Thank you for posting, sorry about mix up.
you might want to check around the shop for sure if you've got kids.
Craig

i would say early LP400S are actually defined by rims:
bravo mag. campagnolo wheels for series 1 cars (78-79)

while the second series cars have the dishes campagnolo mag. wheels

btw: the early Series 1 cars also have SW gauges...they were discontinued middle of the series ...

There is a red light between the first and second line from the bottom. It goes off when you start the car.
