I have no affiliation, but here is a car listed in the north NJ craigslist. Who knows what lurks underneath, but at least the 30K service was done by a reputable indie by us (Classic Coach)- rims are not to my taste at all, but who knows- could be a decent car for someone looking?

is that a euro model? no bumper guards, but i think i see the seat belts in the center console and yellow front markers. all i know for sure is that prices are in the dumps.

Nice price if not been in a accident before.
The wheels would look great painted black or silver.

My guess...and I'm just guessing here...that judging by the craigslist advertising and uhh, rims- this car has $20K of deferred maint. But you never know....

I agree on the tubi w/no cats- probably sounds WILD, but good luck getting that thing to pass emissions with no cats(at least in NJ) Price I think is reflective of all of this.

It has a Euro style rear bumper
    US spec third brake light.
US spec front turn signal lenses.
If the side marker lights are flush with the fenders it's probably US spec. The last Euro conversion I saw the side markers protruded from the the fenders, front and rear.
Seat belt ends in the center console the look like mouse-track items but can't be sure because of the poor picture quality.

Body colored airdam and rockers should be black for that year..
Paint the wheels black, good to go.

It depends on which Tubi sound level. A friend had one with no cats and it wasn't that loud.

buy it..fix it yourself, drive it, then pass it on...who cares??? If you want to do a resto..good on ya, but for the dude that like to tinker and play around..what not to like??

Heck I should buy the thing and rip it apart and turn it into a gutted road warrior with a roll cage, Autometer gauges, straight pipes, and one recaro racing seat.

Mine is a US spec car, but I was thinking about ripping off the US rear bumper because it is starting to get ugly looking, so maybe this guy did the same thing - just a guess...

Agreed that the wheels are ugly!

When I have time I will pull the US bumper block off the back of mine. It will involve glassing 4 holes and repainting the entire bumper but worth the improved looks to me.

Here is my 90 Euro car. I agree that the rear bumper looks better. The other thing I really liked about the car was it had standard seat belt instead of that retracting abortion.

Posts like this are what keep fellow f-chatters from stepping into bottomless money pits!

IMHO, one of the key perks of us being forum members are the behind the scenes reports on cars that e-bay, craigslist, and other outlets do not provide...they keep us from stepping into cars that turn the Ferrari dream into a Ferrari nightmare...

    Thanks for the intel, Rick!

I like the rims. Usually I hate most aftermarket rims.
