Made it safely home on Sunday. We used the nice weather to do another pass - KlausenPass - waw - a lot of bikers on the small roads...challenging.. Sorry we've missed you Trevi on Sunday morning... Thanks again for the excellent organisation. It was also a real pleasure to meet some very nice people of the FerrariChat community !! Great weekend. This MUST be done again... Didier. PS : only the weather could have been better..we almost got snow on saturday..hehe..but that's Switzerland..
actually it really was snowing at the furka pass! and once again, sorry to have passed out on sunday morning
What a fantastic weekend. Met some great people and drove some amazing roads. Here are some of my pictures ... Cheers Simon The first...my drive over the Oberalp pass and Andermatt
Trevi, hey NO problem and don`t appologize you for sunday morning!!!!!! You have had a hard time with the whole organisation and the party and you realy deserved the "big-drink" after the show. Sunday was wonderful & sunny and we have had a beautiful drive-home over the Klausen-Pass in a smal group of 5 Ferraris.....and we did it the "Italian way". Andrea was the leader and we drove very fast the pass with lots of fun.
Next, after everyone had arrived we drove to the garage...in thick thick fog...and someone (ahem...TREVI ) managed to get us lost on the walk back
The next morning we managed to bring the town almost to a halt as we all tried to refuel.... But then we finally set off on our first pass....
Watching a Testarossa driving ancient cobbled passes was something I'll never forget. At the top of the Gotthard, all 14 Fcars together...but what could turn up that would steal our thunder?
...a Carrera GT...man, that was such a beautiful car. We kept seeing him as we spent the next days driving around. It was 2 days old and he'd already put 1000km's on the clock.
Wolfgang showed us how to handle a Testarossa... Then had a celebratory beer...and thats the last I remember
Trevi and Manuela organised a great party for the Saturday night...although the band was bigger than our Fchat group
And then finally, sunday morning saying goodbye and heading home. For Wolfgang, Andrea+Rachel, me, Patric and Didier and Ellena, this was over the beautiful Klausen pass.
Simon, thanks a lot for the wonderful pics and write up! God bless you for NOT showing the Saturday night pics, thanks
Thanks Trevi and Manuela for organising a really great weekend. Nice to see some old faces Trevi and Manuela, Wolfgang, Didier and Ellena and also to meet some new folks Ton, Mark and Debra, Marc and John, Patrick, Christoph, Alex, Uwe, Eugenio and Maura, Mathias and Jens. Hope you all arrived home safely....especially the guys from the UK and Belgium...didn't envy you the long trip home. Cheers Simon
