If you come through Little Rock your more than welcome at the house. I won't be pulling out till mid day Thursday. I'll be driving my wife's car this go round as my Ferrari will not be ready. The body shop called last Thursday after having the car for over a week and said they decided they weren't qualified to fix it. So it gets transported to Ferrari of Houston in 3 weeks for a complete repaint. I look forward to seeing everyone at the Crescent.
    Have a safe trip!

    Dave

Man it is raining! The hardest was Ft. Worth and up. Our street was flooded and closed down, but we were able to get out the back way. John & Marliyn were stranded in Ft. Worth with the flooding. Ron & Stephanie had wheel balance problems, so stoped off to get them rebalanced. Cohens, John, and us are here now in Paris waiting on the others. Might get out of here a little late with the delays. We expect light rain all the way to Mena.

We bailed on going north through Oklahoma doing the Talimena trail. Rain seems to be concentrated up there and our drive has been tougher than expected just to this point. Took John & Marilyn 5 hours to get the 170 miles from Ft. Worth to Paris.

We all made it to Paris eventually and left as a caravan about 2pm. We're now going east away from the rain and staying on main roads through Texarkana. I was conceived there supposedly! Right mom? ;)

    Jennie is driving.

    Rob,

Not stealing your thread but I got in trouble with Linda. I guess it is a car guy thing.

She asked me whether I packed for Crescent Classic yet. I responded: "Yes". Her question was "What". My response was "Mobil 1, Pressure Gauge, Coolant, Tire Sealant, Wine, Fire extinguishers for the Lamborghinis and Ferraris". It went downhill from there.

I now have some clothing packed.

Back to you and have a safe trip.

Arrived at Mena! We made the right choice with the route. Dry most of the way while Oklahoma was covered with mad storms. Tornado northeast of Texarkana, but we avoided it. :)

Everyone gathered tonight at the cabin. I did the appetizers, Dove and Duck... "on a stripper pole". Basically applewood smoked bacon around Dove and Duck, Philadelphia Cream Cheese, cheddar cheese, and jalapeno. Main course was quail, grits, and mix green fruit salad. Pies coming up.

Have to figure out route tomorrow as word 23 south of 40 is pretty rough.

Glad y'all made it, that weather in Dallas looked wicked

Nice coffee and breakfast in Mena this morning.

Trip up from Mena was great, Jennie drove leading the caravan most of the way. 23 wasn't too rough, so glad we didn't divert based on bad information. A good warmup for doing the Pig Trail this afternoon. I'm about ready to make the Pig Trail my *****.

Lunch at Jodie's waiting on the storm and tornados.

    Thursday 9/9/10 - Report #4

We were having good fun going up the Pig Trail and then about 2/3rds through I got the blow out. Luckily my car has a spare and then we were off again. Called a dozen tire places and most just laughed into the phone when I gave them the size, even Fayetteville didn't stock my size. Thankfully Quality Tire in Berryville only 12 miles away was able to order 2 fronts for me overnight.

Largest Crescent ever with upwards of 60 exotics! Some really great quality too, 330 2+2, 16M, and 458 to name a few.

Reception was great last night, Derek Bell got up a little to speak, tonight he's going to speak more. I haven't talked to him yet, but Jennie and Stephanie talked to him for 20 minutes. I think he gets sick of just talking to the guys about car stuff. :D

Looks like they had a great rally for today ending at the winery off 40. 200+ miles of hard mountain driving and the Pig Trail. I'm at the tire shop in Berryville right now, Jennie is at the Spa.

We missed the 200+ miles of hard driving on the pig trail, but enjoyed the day relaxing in Eureka Springs while waiting on my tires. They arrived 3 pm at Berryville and I was back to Eureka Springs before 5 for the reception.

Derek Bell spoke awhile about his time at Ferrari. Very interesting stuff as he was close to Enzo his few years at Ferrari.
